I can't, for the life of me, get an amber Flask formula :(

I've been farming Megalesios in Normal for the last two days, must have found every other formula he can drop at least twice. Am I at the wrong place?

Random selection for the treasure perhaps ?

Thats the beauty of randomized loot drops. Sadly, not always, but randomization work this way.

There are 12 formulas that can be dropped in act 1 normal:
- Amber Flask
- Chaos Cube
- Deathrattle
- Leafsong
- Molten Orb
- Pale Moon
- Scroll of Oneiros
- Shroud of Eternal Night
- Skyfire Pendant
- Star Heart
- Touch of the Fool
- Wraith Guard

So, when you get a formula from Megalesios, you have an 8.3% chance for it to be Amber Flask.
You simply have bad luck. ;)
