Level 60 max?
I finished the game, in all 3 difficulties with a Harbinger class (warfarme + dream)

One the achievements says that you can reach 75, but in 6 years, i've never reached that level, even killing anything, wich is strange.

I skipped one boss of Legendary, his name was Hydra, he killed my character for the first time, what should i do? :2016imnotcrying:

Hello
depending on how much you farm you will finish the game with level in the range of 60-65.

To reach level 75 is a completely new objective... usually by achieving this you can clear also other objectives: do successful legendary secret passage runs, farm for the best end gear for your current char, farm for collectionist's desire or for twinking on other characters... and so on

best idea to gain experience is to use the 6 players mod (mind to reach level 75 outside the mod - in regular gameplay - because mods deactivate achievements accounting) or to join players online to increase the monster spawn rates.

You need to kill ~300000 monsters alone to reach level 75. The fastest possible way is this method: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PyaXVedoak&t

The fastest way is to equip a bunch of +% EXP gear and repeatedly get killed and recover your gravestone.

How many times you need to die? Hundreds? Thousands?

that is useful if you need just a bit xp to reach another level
i started doing the method this guy showed in egypt but after some kills my fps get so low its unplayable

I was getting 234k EXP per death at level 74. That's 419 deaths to get to level 75. It would be fewer deaths at lower levels because the EXP curve is steeper for leveling than it is for dying. If you're wearing different +% EXP gear, these numbers would vary.

I just made a new char to check, you lose exp when you die and do not recover all xp back. The higher your xp the more you lose.

It should restore exactly all the XP lost once you reclaim the greavestone.
Anyway:
- you can reclaim only a single gravestone at a time: if you die without reclaiming the gravestone a new one will be generated and the old one will be lost along with its XP refund
- XP recovered from gravestones is affected by +% exp increase, so you could get more XP back than the amount you originally lost.

Try going to an area where you can take some hits without doing anything for xp, check your xp, die, check your xp, regain your stone without doing anything for xp check your xp it will be less. If trying with new char need to have over 2000 xp and or 1 master.

Did you only let AI kill you? As in you went out died, without killing anything, resurected rinse repeat until you leveled up? I don't think so, its easy to think you leveled up that way, killing just one AI will make it seem like you are gaining when in fact if you had not died you would of leveled faster.

alright, so I did some research. Mr. X said xp gains work on tombstones. I havent tested it, so I will assume it is right.
to boost your gain, you need items with xp modifiers. for that, there is a helmet suffix (of glory/renown/legends, do almost the same) with +3%, a helmet prefix (ceremonial) with +8%, the crystal of erebus (any difficulty) with +8% and an amulet prefix (sacrifical, also useful to kill yourself) with +30%.
I dont know how much these stats are affected by item seeds, but if you ignore that, the highest xp bonus is +49%. checking TQ defiler with one of my current characters, it seems as if you get 85% of your lost xp back when you reclaim your tombstone.
multiply 85% by 149% and you get... 126.65%. that means you can gain up to 26.65% extra xp from claiming tombstones than what you lose. even just a acrifical amulet still gets you 10.5% extra.
so yeah, it should work. cant say how eficient it is though.

thank you for the numerical demonstration, so yes it is in fact possible to gain xp by reclaiming a gravestone.
As for the efficience, well I personally prefer the standard way of gaining XP as most of you guys I guess.

I am surprised about the only 85% XP refund... but if you checked then it must be so. In the help boxes displayed upon the first death the game tells me about full XP regain, but maybe it's just a problem with the translation to my game language...
