Fix For Low Framerate and Huge Framerate Drops
Titan Quest has a setting in an options.txt file called "useSingleProcessorMode." By default, it's enabled.

This could be causing your framerate issues.

The fix is to change the setting:
useSingleProcessorMode = true

To:
useSingleProcessorMode = false

LOCATION:
documents -> My Games -> Titan Quest - Immortal Throne -> Settings -> options.txt

Inside this .txt file, at the very bottom is "useSingleProcessorMode = true".

Set this to "useSingleProcessorMode = false" instead.

Your Titan Quest will now use multiple cores! Boom. No more huge frame drops or low framerate.

Shouldn't that be the other way around? I mean, you don't want to have the single processor mode, so it should be set to false.
Yeah, sorry set it other way! My bad. Just edited it. Thanks dude.

Would be cool if you could also drop a bug report here: https://redmine.thqnordic.com/projects/titan-quest-atlantis-community

On my file this is already set to false, but if i go in-game and check core usage, only one is being used 100%, the other are 0-20% at best. Changing it back to true doesn't make a difference.

As I mentioned in my other post, please file a bug report over here: https://redmine.thqnordic.com/projects/titan-quest-atlantis-community/news

I just checked and this helped me a lot. Mine was set to use my integrated graphics instead of my graphics card.
After starting the game, this line disappears
I just changed my pc to a new, much better one, and the game was slow as hell, like, it wasn't fast before, but it was kinda ok, i didn't have problems playing. But right now it was hell, during some fights I dropped at something like 5 fps. I tried your setting, and it's so fluid right now ! Thanks a lot ! Never appreciated the game this much !

The original post was from 2017...

it's new setting is " useSingleProcessorMode = false " in the options text file.

Hey guys,

Sorry for the necro but I would appreciate some support. In my case it is already set to false yet I am still getting framedrops that do not make sense (Especially in Atlantis but also in other areas). :ftired:

I am using an NVIDIA 2060 RTX and an Intel Core i5 4460 3.20Ghz.
In the Options menu under Graphics try turning the HBAO+ off, see if that helps.

Could also try this - works for TQ as well as Grim Dawn.
