Different story at Legendary dif (Epic still can be fine), cuz EBD (electrical dot) ain't that much powerful, unless you have ton of +EBD gear.
To get the Specialist achievement, he only needs to beat the game on Normal difficulty (see the achievement description). Dream would be definitely a good choice for that.
if you rush towards trance of wrath, you can turn into a passive death machine. I accidentally did that with my diviner, all I had to do in most of normal was run through stuff to kill it, thats all it takes. run through, aura debuffs and deals electric burn damage (that is increased by the debuff as well), wait a sec, go back and collect the spoils. much less powerful in epic and onwards though.
DA = defense. I'd say about 600 DA in act 4 normal is good, about 800-900 in act 4 epic, and 1200+ for melee in act 4 legendary. That's enough to avoid a lot of attacks from enemies and never (or almost never) be critted. DW melee better have some good CCs to deal with machae archers as well. Because you won't be able to tank those.
If you're melee, and you see red #s flying across the screen regularly, then that is how you know that your DA is too low.
Or is it only handicaps?
Like self imposed challenges?
Also, Nature with early rush to the third wolf can do it easily. Suffers from "toy that plays itself"-syndrome, though...
