What am I not doing? I have lots of experience, lots of equipment, HP, and no matter what I do, I cannot kill Nessus. I watched Monzy Games on Youtube and I'm in way better shape but just cannot seem to get past this dude. *sigh*

Hi TopAce6, If I am typing this comment twice, I apologize. I am just learning online gaming. I am at character level 8, hunter then nature -- now listed as "ranger." XP: 64,729. Gear: light stout staff, sanguine straight bow, centaur cuirass of endurance, band of braun, band of insight, tough garland of ability, bangle of insight, alleviating beads, linen simple wraps. Health: 846. Energy: 412. DPS: 19. Attack speed: 71%. Combined armor: 57. Block chance & damaged blocked are both at 0.

Try to do a hit and run tactic? That's what I did before, and it's easier to do that with ranged weapon. Just hit him and then run until he stopped and back, do that again until you kill him.
And yeah, I got this problem with him too before with my Warfare + Rogue when I fresh started the game.

Thank you. I tried that and it did not work. A friend has recommended I start all over, so that is what I shall do.

With level 8 it should be walk in the park. What skills do you use?

My standart strategy:
1. Gets lots of healthpots
2. Go to the entrance of Nessus arena and slowly walk towards him
3. Once you have triggered his aggro, walk back to the entrance. Nessus fighting area is bigger than his allies, so you are able to face him 1on1.
4. Now fight him. When you are low on life, take a pot and run around in circles until you are healed.
5. Repeat until he dies.

Also, I'm not familiar with the expected numbers, but 19 DPS sounds pretty low.
