What is included in Dodge attacks?
As of right now im comfortably farming epic typhon and i noticed i sometimes dodge his meteor shower? Or am I badly noticing something?

Chance to dodge attacks include only melee? or melee and ranged.. what about spell damage?

as far as I know, dodge dodges everything except AoE.

It still seems to differ between "attacks" and "projectiles"

All NPC's give an indicator when they're going to do attacks like that. The trick is to learn what they are (usually by noticing it when they kill you the first few times).

For him; I'd watch for it and when I saw it just run away and come back when it was done.

so what is the indicator? I never saw anything showing which attacks are dodgeable.

Definition: A character dodges acting on it's own, the player does not need to do anything. (think of DA>2000 haruspex in old TQIT)

Anyway yes, the dodging capabilty is splitted between projectiles and melee.
They are strictly separate: an item granting a specific dodging % does not grant also the other one, it's not buy one get two.

Dodging capability does not trigger for aoe attacks as far as I know. Also wave are present in this game...

It is still true that you can manually evade attacks with your character by running smartly away from the attacks. Ranged chars know that very well but it is not dodging in strict terms because the player puts effort in that.

As Mr. X says, attacks in this case means melee attacks.

Projectiles, otoh, are arrows and staff shots, but also some spells.

In fact *all* spells unless they are beams (like your Lich king uses), curses (like Plague), waves (breath attacks in the AE) or circular AoE effects (like Storm Surge).

For him I think that he stops his actions and puts his arms up; think of it as looking upwards to call down the meteors. When he goes into his pose I run. And it's not so much dodgeable as your getting out of the AoE area.

There's another boss that does the same type of thing, you just have to watch them as you fight them. Like I said it took me a few deaths to final catch it.

well then why are you mentioning it? this thread is about the dodge stat not the "move out of the way" stat.
