The Torch-Lighters Gauntlet - maybe a bug?
Hi.

I know some people have had some difficulty completing this quest and I will include myself among them, but thats not my issue. The 2nd time I tried I was within a hair of completing it when the last archer finished the lighter.

I was all set to go for a third try but when I get next to the beacon the lighter won't do his job. He just stands nearby. I can think of 2 possible explanations for this.

1) The bodies of the 2 previous lighters are still on the screen exactly where the 3rd lighter needs to go. Could they be blocking him?

2) The beacon looks lit. I tried returning to the quest giver and his message hasn't changed. Could something in the code have screwed up the status of the quest?

Suggestions would be appreciated. I am going to go back to the main quest and hope someone posts a solution for this in the meantime.

Worst case, I thought I saw a thread explaining how to delete a quest file to force the quest to restart. I don't want to do this unless I have no other choice.

I got this problem too, back to the main menu fixed the problem for me.

Thats funny. Classic answer reboot/restart. It worked.

Thanks a lot. On a sidenote, that had to be the hardest sidequest to date. It took me 2 more tries to complete it.

Eh, same here, I failed about 3 or 4 times. I believe it wasn't that hard before on the IT version.

Caveisier you are right. Back in the old IT version this quest was a breeze. Ive also noticed a third situation.
When Im about to finish the second wave of enemies, after killing the last one, a whole new wave of enemies appears almost all equipped with bows that target the lighter alone! Its insane! This didn't happen in the old IT version. Please help!

Try using Taunt skill. You have it by default, it helps quite a lot
