Advice: Don't play this game
Seriously, there are a lot of people with a lot of nostalgia and in 2004 it was quite a good game. However, it has always been a cesspool of hackers, scammers and overall low-life a-holes. This game turned into extreme pay2win eventually. Nowadays it's all about the treasure boxes. On the main servers there is a small group of people that actually makes money botting 24/7. The pvp system is f-ed up. You can't win against someone 4 levels higher than you due to extreme scaling.

Everyone without nostalgia will understand very very fast that this game is not something people with a gaming history want to play in 2016 when basically every other MMO is better and has fairer f2p elements.

The icing on the cake is the developer. Let me spell it out for you: They don't give a ♥♥♥.
They seriously don't. The support is useless, they will ban you for no reason (while hackers gonna hack), they don't listen to balancing concerns or anything at all. And every kind of customer interaction has been cut down. Not only that but they treated their own community managers in the company really badly.

Let me end with borderline racist, but nevertheless true comments.
This Korean developer neither speaks proper English nor has any f-ing clue whatsoever. All they do is implement more efficient ways to milk their customers. The game is basically dead as about 95% of what's left is extremely anti-social and/or Egyptians.

Feel free to disregard this post as ranting, but I can assure you that this post was conducted with common sense and rational observation over several years in this game.

So many of these "MMORPG" games on steam that have low numbers of reviews (like 17 reviews) and only 300 people playing at once

Don't you need more than 17 people playing for it to be called massively multiplayer?

Just looking at it, it appears to be one of those terrible Korean MMOs that milk the players for as much money as possible.

In that case, what other MMORPG's you would suggest playing?

Just posting here to say that OP is absolutely right.

I, too, have played this game for years, and came up with the same conclusion.

I don't have much time to play mmos, so I no longer do, but I suggest aura kingdom or tera.

Since no one is going to do any moderation on this forum. I might as well push my thread in order to make people aware of it.

Yes, this game is pay2win and its developers incompetent.

Is this actually the EXACT same game as the one I played in 2003 or did they actually remake it in a new engine and release it on steam just now?

This game is also like 12 years old, and one of the first examples of an item mall.

I played this game for a long time back in the early 2000s.

Of course it's Pay2Win. Of course, if youre playing the game to play a game, then it's free.

Guess what? I've only spent money on this game casually, never spent a lot, never tried to "Pay2Win". Spent a few bucks here and there for things I wanted.

I enjoyed playing the game.

If you only enjoy winning every MMORPG you play, I guess you might be dissapointed.

I'm not that kind of player.

I've probably played hundreds of different free and premium MMORPGs over the years.

I've only gotten to end game on a couple, and most I only played randomly and enjoyed just fine.

Complain about "Pay2Win" all you want. I dont care about being on the top of the high score list, or being able to kill as many players as I can.

I'll play for free, and still be happier than everyone complaining about not winning enough.
