Is the episode of "Night Springs" that is a re-telling of Allan Wake that is in Quantum break- is that canon to the Remedyverse as the actual Allan wake story? How about the Allan Wake games that are being played in the Quantum Break Game? Who's play through of Allan Wake within the Quantum Break universe is the canon play thorugh?
If you care about the sanctity of a story- you should probably find a different publisher to worship. These stories are clearly not for you- and you shouldn't waste your money on corrupted "woke" content. I'm sorry that you had to waste all this time and brain energy warning a few Quantum Break players about this very important issue. But you have done the world a service by pointing out a clear issue. And that issue is that you shouldn't play remedy games anymore.
The iron law of projection.
Using separate universe logic to justify race changes are dumb, as parallel universes do not exist to introduce massive changes, but subtler, more nuanced ones that let you know there is something off about the new place you're in -- apparently the same on the surface, but not EXACTLY the same in reality. A race change takes things too far because now you have to address genetic lineage, for obviously someone had to screw someone else, who obviously is from a different city, state, part of the world etc, in order for this person to appear the way they did, and if they didn't then their changed appearance is now arbitrary and stupid.
A more subtle, nuanced approach to parallel universes preserves a sense of mystery, confusion, surrealism, and doesn't force us to focus on mundane details in order to make proper sense of the new characters.
LOL- So you didn't play AW2 then either eh? SPOILER ALERT- Saga's dad is Mr. Door- who is black. Who is likely a paralell character for Martin Hatch in the same way that Alex Casey is a parallel to Max Payne. Mr. Door's connection isn't explicitly stated, but very clearly pointed to in the game. This even follows the logic of Alan writing several revisions of his story, probably stumbling across Mr. Door and wanting to use his powers to move between these dimentions to help him get out. So he wrote Mr. Door into his story and gave him a daughter, just like he took sagas daughter as part of his story. all elements that Alan changes to escape himself. The logic and story is perfectly sound.
First off- the race swap probably happened during the production of the Night Springs episode- the writers of TV Shows don't generally get to pick who acts in them unless they are paying for the show, or they are the reason the show is being made.
REGARDLESS of whatever actual story mechanic that is used to justify Saga being black in AW2 while the charcacter Saga portrayed in the Night Springs Episode featured in QB is White. Both Alan Wake games are literally about a author who changes reality by writing stories. The whole story takes place in a weird crossover between fiction and reality. This game literally has 3 or 4 layers of overlapping fictions and realities. THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CREATOR OF THE GAME PLAYS BOTH HIMSELF, AN ACTOR, AND A MAIN SUPPORTING CHARACTER IN THIS GAME.
In reality You, OP, and a bunch of other idiots on this thread are loosing your ♥♥♥♥ over what is ultimately a small detail. A change that actually adds richness, and texture to the story that the origonal vision wouldn't have had. The Alan Wake 2 that we got is WAAAAYYYYY Better than whatever they were coming up with so they could fill a little bit of side content relating to another game they made a decade ago.
Y'all are a bunch of melted snowflakes with your panties in a bunch because you were promised ten years ago that you would get to fap to a white girl in your next Alan Wake Game. They still give you cute white girls in AW2 (Rose is a little older, but I kinda like her in pt.2- the she has really settled into her brand of crazy and I think that ♥♥♥♥ is hot) And The Saga we got is also hot, if you are not turned off by black ladies.
Stop crying, just don't spend money on things you don't like. You have wasted a lot of time and effort crying publicly about a thing that actually doesn't matter, and you have failed to prove that it matters. And you won't even catch the cool nuance in the story because you are too busy being triggered by the melting of your snowflake. You were promised a beautiful crystal, but you got a lump of coal. poor baby.
I'll buy it again if/when it comes to Steam.
1. I did play Alan Wake 2 and dropped it when I realized I was going to be playing as Saga for the majority of the game. I also just didn't like the lighting, fixed over the shoulder camera angle being so up close, and I got tired of them overusing the same old jumpscare. A game being woke is not a 100% deal-breaker for me like you're trying to portray it as, but dumb is dumb, just like your "counter"-argument, and I'm not about to pretend it's not to preserve your feelings.
2. Exploiting an element of the story to insert propaganda is more a sign of ideological obsession than it is anything even remotely close to good writing. But that's the strategy manipulative people like you employ to achieve your goals: silently and subtly repurpose a convenient plot device, fine-tune it racially charged content, and codify it into the visual aesthetics of the game.
It's actually kind of funny how you probably think such machiavellian activities couldn't possibly be present in a game that is literally about rewriting reality to accomplish one's goals. I mean hot diggity damn, son, how short-sighted do you have to be. But enough with this side-tangent that you're likely roo dense to understand. Back to the main course.
As for Saga's looks? I'm not turned on by women who are as flat as a board. Now if you're done trying to bait me into calling myself a pervert, or some dumb crap like that, why don't you go back to just calling me ooga booga big scary words like snowflake.
And no, I'm not gonna argue against being a snowflake. The fact that this is underselling, underperforming, and is over ten years too late to the sequel party tells me more than enough of what I need to dispel your feeble attempt at making me feel belittled.
Like c'mon man. You talk down to others so much, yet for some reason I have to turn my head toward the basement just to be able to hear you.
Man really says he diddn't play the game.
Then proceedes to further virtual signal (*berate their character) without taking anything into consideration from the conversation at hand.
The current state of this thread folks.
Did you ever? Especially when you ignore what everyone says and just Yap.
Then your appraisal of the art is about as valuable as my cat's.
You have some abilities with rhetoric, so I'm sure you have fooled a few people into thinking you have a worthwhile opinion on a subject. buy all your flowery words mean nothing when you admit to ignorance of the subject being discussed.
"I actually DID go to the Louvre. But I went home after being in the parking lot for 2 minutes and realizing that a the whole building is full of old things made by a bunch of gay people. 1/10 - don't waste a good European trip on this French trash" - Catastrophucked
Like when a 5 year old calls me a poopey head, I shall pat you on the head and say nice try there big fella. come at me when you have something relevant and useful to offer to the discussion.
Normally this is the part where I'd mostly just insult you back, but I think I've made you bleed enough already, so here are the facts:
1. I made it all the way to the old folks home Tor and Odin were staying at, beat it, and I don't recall if I encountered the FBC before or after that. I do recall briefly regaining control of Alan though. In my admittedly subjective estimation, that struck me as being perhaps somewhere in the ballpark of 30-40% completion. Now why don't you tell me how far I need to make it through the game before I can rEaSoNaBlY declare it to be not worth finishing.
Anyway, drop the hyperbole. It only makes you come off as presumptuous, especially when you didn't actually know how far I made it into the game until I spelled it out for you just now.
As for flowery words? My guy. You tried to call.me a 5 year old, and then complained that my words are too BIG/FLOWERY for you to handle. Get some self-awareness, man. Those words don't even exceed high school level vocabulary, so you either just ousted yourself as an ignorant teenager, or accidentally admitted to failing English, Math, and possibly a little bit of post science foundation classes, which is where the overwhelming majority of my "flowery" words can be found. Either way, this is far from a good look on you.
This is why I mocked you with the ooga booga insult. You truly believe you're "scaring", or "demoralizing" your debate opponent, but all you're really doing here is your low-skill condescension is revealing all your own argumentative weak points.
Anyway, keep sitting here acting like you've gained some sort of edge on me with your feeble attempts at being belittling, while ultimately just being a little person trying to shout up at a giant. Or you can just ask your cat for some advice on how to handle me, but my big brained dog might just convince it to claw your tendons apart so you can't keep typing stupid crap on the internet.
Is it just ONE line in a game that made you quit?
Or do you not like a games take on world building and decided to start these ramblings.
And how would you actually try to fix any of this without witch hunting people.
