Is this game worth it?
I'm thinking about buying it, but i've seen several posts about unfixable errors.

for performance this game is really bad but still not only me but all of my friends could play start to finish without frame drops but as long as monitor is 60hertz i didnt let it go higher so in ultra setting it was fix 60fps but if you are in 2k or 4k there is diff
also there is no gamebreaking bug as long as i know you may crash a few times but thats all!
they only thing i know is that if you are in windows 11 you are going to see live action streams on 2x speed and you need to watch them online on yt

I'm just popping in to see if those that have the video issue on windows 11 have tried compatibility mode and if that helped at all? I'm on windows 10 though, I just finished it and had no problems besides a crash or three.

The only problem I found with the game aside some minor bugs, is that the gameplay consist basically in send you waves of enemies, you kill some, then they send more and more and thats it. The story is really good, it has replayability because you can take decisions that change the story. And the game is pretty cheap on sale, I don't see why someone wouldn't buy it. The game never crashed to me, I played for like 6 hours in a row and I had no problems, I saw people complaining about the movies because they couldn't see them but I saw just like 3 people complaining, so that happenens to a minory.
My PC is pretty cheap and the game works fine with all in medium and still looks and feels pretty good. The game has more good things that bad.

Alan Wake and control are both better games than this one. I paid full price at release and replay-ability is VERY low. Play Alan Wake and control. Watch this game via a playthrough on youtube. The girl that plays Beth in this is the lead for control.

had zero problems playing this wonderful game!

It played fine years AGO, but now people have reported in 2020-23 video streaming problems. The PC version does not come with an option to download the streaming parts when you try to install the game. Short of buying the xbox version there is a third party unofficial way to fix this which I can't talk about.

Using youtube is NOT a fix!! AS the video you see is dependant upon the choice you make in game. The differences are there.

Except, that’s not quite true. Quantum Break features prominent story junctions — opportunities when the player takes control of Serene, and makes a choice that strongly influences how the plot will play out. These always come directly before episodes of the television show (there are four in total), and they offer an unsettling look at how the other half lives

These decisions have an unexpected heft about them. They begin somewhat light, but by the end, their collective weight accumulates. For instance, in my second playthrough, a supporting character played a suddenly-large role in working toward the game’s conclusion; in the first playthrough, that character saw hardly any screen time. However, these are different means to the same end. Different choices alter the details, but it all eventually funnels to the same closure.

The problems for those still on Windows 10, 7, 8.1, and Linux via proton.
It should work in game like it did when I played it at LAUNCH on all platforms. There was a petition launched a MONTH after the game's PC release for the video problem to have been fixed by making them downloadable and it was ignored on the PC but on the XBOX people were allowed to download the videos

This is from September 30, 2016...

On Xbox you have the option of downloading the live action scenes by installing the Quantum Break Episode Pack, but this is not available on PC.

Many people will refuse to even buy this game if it require allways online connection and stream gigs every time they want to watch cutscene. Also people tend to have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ internet (gladly i recently moved to gpon, but other people has issues with internet) and will have to wait or skip series or look at constant buffering, this is pain in ♥♥♥, and unacceptable, we deserve same local cache feature as xbox one users have.

Also it would be good idea if streamed videos would be cached in game folder at the same folder and under same name it woul be added as DLC, in this case installation of DLC will re-validate existing file and will skip download, and in case if use will need some space - uninstallation of dlc will remove that cached file as well.

Update:

It would be good idea to offer different types of such DLC - 720p, 1080p, 1440p. 4k

Also we have few prerendered cutscenes which looks awful like they are 720p, many people would like to see these scenes in real time mode, ot at least if it technically impossible (but preferable, since it will take less space than prerenders) we need optional DLC that will override defaul 720p (or whatever it is, still looks like upscaled 720p) prerendered cutscenes with 1080 and 4k, Seriosly - if you do prerenders, at least prerender them at 4k and at ULTRA Settings (did i mentioned that current prerendered cutscenes has Xbox one graphics settings which looks worse than PC gameplay sequences, especially shadows, and that transition does not go smooth?).

So, briefly:

Add dlc for tv series in at least 4 most popular sizes 720p, 1080p, 1440, 4k
Replaces all prerendered gameplay cutscenes with real time, or add same 3 packs of overriding DLC that will show scenes in 720p, 1080p, 1440p, 4k.

Not only is there an issue of actual playback for some it plays the videos at 2.5x-4x

For windows 11 this is the "fix" apparently made by microcrap NOT REMEDY.

using youtube its not fix but its solution.
i live in iran and i have really bad internet my speed is 100kb and cant even watch any video online. i mean even pictures from steam guides take long to load but still i could manage to watch video streaming in game without pause or lag (i have no idea how not make scene lol!)
i tried to choose all and see what happen if for example choose a in first choose b in second choose a in third and etc
but unfortunately it doesnt matter :)) maybe a little extra scene that is still no matter because its like extended version of already boring video. if you are not die hard fan of this and dont want to know every single thing the remedy did in game you dont lose anything if you watch youtube. little note here: if you really want to know the story ignore cut scene the real thing you must watch or read is letters. there are many many details about the world of quantum break and story behind it try to find them all and read them even if you are not looking for achievements.
me and my friends playing this in pc we had some crash but we didnt have streaming problem.
and its not about what remedy should do and what remedy did.
yes there are problems in game not for everyone but there are. but after all it is worth buying special in sales.
also if you are killing your self to download video there is one way to do it. i cant say it here its not illegal.
