Mouse input was fine on Win7, Win8.1 and on Win10.
When the game stuttered - obviously - the mouse input would break down too. But that was due to the other issues, this game seem to have with CPUs (rather than GPUs).
This game is clearly better played with a gamepad. It is designed with pads in mind. It therefore also 'feels' better, especially with all the 'magic' powers, mapped on them.
I know from own experience, my aiming with gamepads is always an issue. I am not good pads as I am with a mouse. So, no judgement here, when 'auto'-aim is used with gamepad.
This is just the 'console' type of 'action-adventure' game (with shooting) that was build around a pad and for myself, I see no reason to not oblige and use one.
