How does this game run at 4k on a 3080?
Has anyone played this recently with new cards?

I think 1440 is the highest resolution, I'm running on a 4K monitor and it won't give me the 4K res. As for the card, I'm running ultra on a 2080 Super and it's nice and smooth, looks good too.

You'll be fine on a 3080 no doubt.

Thanks. I actually got it to go 4k finally. I had to edit the config file in appdata/local and now it shows me all the resolutions up to 4k in the settings.

How did you edit it?

you simply launch the game, close it, and relaunch, then the option for 4k will appear. I have everything turned to max and this game stutters like crazy, it doesnt even bother reaching 60fps which makes no sense because i can play Control, max settings 4k, ray tracing max plus nvidia freestyle (9 of them) and the game is stable 80+ fps on a 2080ti. This game is just terribly optimized and not even set to be able to play it on 4k.

Runs fine at 60fps on my system (3090 10900k 64gb Ram). I have it running with VorpX in VR, which usually halves the frame rate (in other games).

I suspect it may be something wrong with your setup or drivers. Are you running a decent CPU? What about RAM?>

Opened config text file and typed in res.

The guy who said you just have to close the game was wrong in my case. Likely somethimg to do with playing on a high end TV.

I have 3090 and 9900k 16gb ram - constantly 60+ fps in 4k on max with disabled scaling, no freezes. Before that it was 2080ti and here on it was 35+ fps with freezes.
