Recently purchased game. Live Action video won't start.
I finally finished the first chapter but the game appeared to crash. I restarted the game and the timeline showed that I had finished the first chapter and that there was a Live Action Video available now. I tried playing it again however it just shuts the game off and takes me to my desktop but there is nothing that happens. I don't see any indicator that a video is being downloaded or otherwise. Is there a fix for this? I sure hope Remedy doesn't ever make a game like this again where half the game is tied to online streaming and now I may not be able to even access it. Thanks for any suggestions.

They designed this game to incorporate live action video with actors that apparently covers all potential story arcs based on decisions made by the player. Unfortunately these live action cinematics are not contained within the game itself but are apparently streamed from some third party online source. Once you reach a certain point in the game's story you are supposed to be able to watch these movies but myself and others can't get the videos to download or play. When I try to it just shuts my game off with not activity or indication as to whether any video is being streamed and sure enough, nothing is streaming for me and therefore I can't access a whole crucial part of what makes this game what it is.

I love Remedy games but I'm hating my experience with Quantum Break so far. I hope they never do this kind of thing again.

is that streaming online video who show up after we kill or not to kill the girl (the head of anti monarch activist) who capture by monarch security police, after 1st chapter ??

The main reason you are streaming it is because with the video quality of the series is so big that it would take up 10-70+ GB on your machine... Just for video files. And even more. Since there are multiple storylines. You can guess yourself.. There is 3x footage for each episode and more because of the choises you make in the game + bonus clips you unlock based on things you do in your gameplay.

And as far as I know the streams work fine. If you encounter problems it might be your firewall or something else on your connection or temporar outtage on their servers.

The videos don't stream for me. I check back every once in awhile to see if its working and it never is. Has Remedy provided troubleshooting tips for accessing their videos? Is there a way to initiate the movies outside of the game?

So there's no remedy for this

I didn't have an issue, but i see how many people complain. Why they just didn't put those videos in game download files. They could encrypt it or something if this is licensing issues.

most the time just due to them not really playing "online" or dont own the game or just bad net connection overall or commonly they programs on they pc blocking the stream.. those are the most common of these problems...

but i agree, personally i think its muitlple reasons why they dont put it in the game. i think the main one is overall legal reasons maybe also pirating reasons as well..
