How to improve performance of Quantum Break?

I was so hyped to play this game, and now i'm frustrated because i can't manage to run it with decent performance.

My specs: GTX 970 / I5 6600k / 16gb ram and installed on a SSD. My monitor is a 144hz and 1440p native resolution.

I have every settings at minimum, and tried at 1080p, and still runs terrible.

Any tips?

Define terrible? For reference, I'm running it on GTX 1050M on medium-high setting on 1080p with 50-60 FPS. Try turning off upscaling, reflections to medium and volumetric lightning to medium. The game doesn't feel well optimized.

Running it with 40-50 FPS (even lower in some places like the university) and some stuttering. If i turn of upscalling my FPS drops to 25-30 which is weird...

Turn on VSync because it causes massive stutters when pausing/resuming the game. Other than that, it runs around 40-60 on my GTX 970 / i5-4690K / 16gb ram. If you can't run it at 1080p minimum settings, your PC is broken.

Set it to auto-optimise by Gefore Experience, which on my specs set it to:
AA on (whatever that means)
Full-screen
Effects Quality: High
Geometry LOD: Ultra
Gobal Illuminiation Quality: Medium
1080p
VSync: On
SSAO: On
SSR: High
Shadow Filtering: High
Shadow Resolution: Ultra
Texture REsolution: Ultra
Upscaling: On
Volumetric Lightning: High

same here. upscaling off = 1/2 fps.

There are a lot of info missing from your post, your post is simply too broad. the game runs constant 60fps on my R9 390X running at ultra settings.
