Content File Locked???
Second time installing as the first time it kept giving me an error whilst trying to update? Anyone know what's up? I've made it an exception in my anti virus too so I'm all outta ideas.

I've also verified integrity.

Try going to the folder where the game files are installed and deleting the locked file and then verify cache (or re-install).

Could you walk through it for me bud? Not sure where they are.

Does it tell you which file is locked?

Files should be located in \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\QuantumBreak

No mate, do I just need to delete every file within the Quantum Break folder?
Daddy Myers Dec 4, 2017 @ 1:47pm
The error message tells me there was a problem updating the file and shows the path to the dx11 folder and it's the quantumbreak.exe.

Yeah probably delete everything there and then verify cache by going to your Steam library, right click on the game, Properties, Local Files, Verify Game Cache. It will re-download all the missing files.

ahh then delete the \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\QuantumBreak\dx11\QuantumBreak.exe file and verify

I deleted everything in the Quantum Break folder and verified, nothing happened D:

hmm, might need to do a fresh install.

Other things you can try:
1. temporarily disable your anti-virus when installing
2. right click on your drive where the game is installed, Properties, Tools, Scan drive for errors, Repair drive

Alright I'll give them a try! I went into the dx11 file and there is no quantumbreak.exe file which is weird?

Sounds like your anti-virus has removed it, thinking it's unsafe (it's called a false positive)... that happens a lot for some anti-virus'. You said you put it in your exception list - did you actually put Quantumbreak.exe in that exception list (make sure you have). BTW which anti-virus are you using?
Daddy Myers Dec 4, 2017 @ 1:56pm
I'm running AVG and went to the whole quantum break folder, not the .exe specifically.

ok. well try those things above and let us know how you go.

Nope the .exe file isn't there at all?

I'd say you anti-virus has removed it already, so if you go to your AVG Quarantine list (Menu/Quarantine) it may be there. From there I think you can add it to the exception list or remove it from Quarantine... (I use AVG as well but can't be sure on exact steps to move files out of Quarantine as I don't have anything in there myself to test with)
