cheat through crappy checkpoints
Hi! I am so frustrated at the game having a reached Act 3 Part 1 before the first Juggernaut fight. The checkpoint takes me back before entering the elevator - this is like 5-7 minutes of empty cut scenes and running around just to reach the fight scene. After failing multiple times, it made me so frustrating that I don`t even care for the fight. Is there any cheat I can apply to just skip over it and not get killed? If I have to go through the same scene one more time, I will simple uninstall the game. It seems that I can not able to lower the difficulty level to normal.

I feel you, man. Happened to me few minutes ago. Absolutely infuriating. I was already p*ssed when I got killed by door and sent back to the outside tower area. I was like... are you kidding me??? Little did I know this will happen again much further in the game where the super armored guy was. What a HORRIBLE game design. Remedy get your sh*t together, seriously. We are paying customers, fix your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.

Game has been out for some time so Remedy isn't going to do anything. I originally got the game when it came out for XBox 1.

Purchased the XBox game and got the PC game free. Was the worst optimized for PC game I have ever run. Had to lower the graphics to LOW in order for the game not to stutter (I've got a GTX 1080FE).

Got the game again on Steam sale and it runs like a normal Steam game, although when I try to create a desktop shortcut, Steam gives me a generic Windows World icon and the shortcut is missing the standard Steam URL; steam://rungameid/XXXXXX so I had to create one myself. Checked the Steam folders for a Quantum icon and there's none.

What can you say........

@rzn6jw Pro tip: for a 1080p screen, set the resolution to 1600x900, upscaling to off, and set the game to native fullscreen (not borderless). It looks great and runs smoothly. Also You should be able to crank the setting higher.

For a smooth experience, if fps isn't hitting its cap, enable the limit to 30fps option. The blur will simulate more realistic cinema effects and will yield a nice looking, consistent result without much (if any) noticeable penalty.

I found the same issue at Act 3 Part 1 before the juggernaut. It took me back outside the building each time. However, I found that if I killed myself by walking into the rapid open/closing doors that it would respawn me pretty much to just before I got killed. Then after getting killed by the juggernaut the next itme, I would respawn just before the fight. Maybe I got lucky? YMMV.

amateurs. poor execution of a cool story and ideas, with just some basic bad implementation of key principles like make the game fun to play. I don't want to redo large stretches repeatedly from outside the tower, just put a checkpoint right before the juggernaut.

If anyone is dealing with this nonsense, just run past the shotgun dude, straight to the end of the room. Somehow that triggers something and when you die you are no longer send 10 minutes back.

Died there too. repeat from outside tower, game crashed during door transition, 3rd time, died again...4th time I managed to get him and no more issues.
I got an answer for you guys a few years later! I figured it out, always wait for the Saving icon down in the left corner to finish and disappear before you enter. Then it should save the checkpoint.

Google for "quantum break savegame". In general for many games you find a download for the save folder with a 100% completed game. It also helped me to skip frustrating or buggy situations in games.
