Appalling performance & locked at 1080P
So previously I didn't really have the hardware to run it at 1440P at a stable 60fps (980Ti) but now I'm on a 1080Ti I find not only is the framerate still a mess, but I cannot for the life of me select a higher resolution than 1080P.

Nothing above that shows up no matter what I do. And 1080P itself isn't very stable either.

Can anyone assist? How do I get a higher resolution?

1080Ti, 32GB RAM @ 1866, 4790K @ 4.5GHz.

Assistance appreciated. I'd like to actually play this game!

I have a 1080 ti as well and the DSR does not seem to work. Game still plays like a butt.
Weird. I can play the game with deactivated upscaling in mostly high, ultra, only two settings on medium and easily get 60fps all the time with "just" a gtx 1080 while gpu-usage never tops 80%.

I deactivated AA though but for me personally, this game does not really benefit from it as much as other titles, so no dealbreaker.

Did you try to the borderless-window option? In fullscreen the game would stutter for me pretty bad but said option did the trick and fixed this completely.

DSR is not working on my end as well.

I have a 4K monitor though, DSR or not the higher options should be there.

I've tried pretty much everything. Borderless window reduces the image to a quarter of the screen. This game seems really broken. If anyone else has any ideas I'd appreciate them.

i had that issue when i installed the game a few days back only it was a 1280/720 res! you can change the resolution in the ini files search toms hardware or reddit cannot remember which one fir the solution.
i am now happy playing at 1440 res getting 30-60 fps 'which is good for my half baked potato.

I sort of resolved this. I did the ini edit and I also switched power management to 'maximum performance' which tbh I'd forgotten to do during the upgrade. So I have 4K in what seemed to be between 30-60fps. But I only tested it briefly so don't know for sure.

%LOCALAPPDATA%\QuantumBreak\renderer.ini

Paste that into your Windows address bar and it should open up the file you need to edit. I had hopes of a 1080/Ti running this game flawlessly in 4K but I guess not. I have a RX480 8GB and it runs it fairly well but with eye candy turned down.

wtf gpu usage should be 100% if you need to lower settings to get 60fps. If you run ultra gpu usage still don't go above 80? It's the cpu usage you want to be low as possible. If gpu usage doesn't go above 80 then that explains this games terrible optimization. Might buy it since its half off but sounds like a waste of time.

Or, the game's CPU intensive and he's pushing his settings too high.

I remember back when I used a Pentium E6600 and R9 280, and pretty much every game was 20-50% GPU usage... good times ;)

Is the game actually CPU intensive though? I'm running a 1080ti and an i7 3930k 4.2ghz, which I know isn't a "great" processor by todays standards, but I don't find myself being CPU bottlenecked in any other games? Getting the same 70-80% GPU usage maxed out at 1440p.
