*SPOILER* Devil Tactics

Has anyone found a way to successfully trick the Devil? I tried by saying yes to the ghost of the past king and the devil replied "Fool you think you could trick me?" "Dont you get it? The ghost is you and saying yes was just suicide" "Suicide in hell forever" then boom game over.

Its possible to get a hint of what I think are specific years on a fortune telling when you ask someone "how to trick the devil." I tried having the devil kill whoever showed up on one of those years, but it didnt appear to do anything special... the numbers (years?) that were listed were 1043, 683, 1214, 842, 1432, 1669 in addition, one of the fortunes the seer can give you talks about A dead nobleman with a strange mark on them. So maybe that's who you kill?

This is what im wondering about most as well.

What i tried as well, was:
basically saying yes only to the dog (Although none of his options says yes, so this does not really work) and after some time of saying no, i think 100 years, the devil appears again and tells you, that the curse is removed, cause you are a real altruist. As i didnt have the mission to trick the devil by then, idk if this is the solution. I guess not, its waaay to easy!


Anybody else knows how to get the pidgeon to go into a relationship with you? (I guess you need to be old / under the influence of the blue mushroom?)

Ask the wizard for love when she offers to teach you white magic and you'll have a chance that one of the 3 partner choices she offers will be a pidgeon.

When the event came up for the last time, i actually guessed so.
Wondered why i didnt get to this conclusion earlier. Sadly, it offered me like 5 people, whom i declined, then i could choose the option once again, offering me 2 more People. Not the one i wanted though :/

If any of you have questions to other stuff, just shoot the questions. Ill be glad to help you out, got quite far for now (about 2500 years in total :D )

there actually is one option where the dog barks for no reason and you can agree with him, which im guessing counts as a yes? maybe thats how??

only got to the year 2012 i tried to wait for the dog to bark so i could agree but he never popped up

The dog barks, but the answer is something like agree, not "yes". It actually comes down to "yes". So thanks for the idea, but this seems not to be the solution. A comment on my guide says its about saying yes to your own ghost when he curses you in 1998. Makes sense as the quest to trick the devil is one of the very last ones

But if you say yes to your own ghost, the devil says "you think you can trick me? you just commited suicide in hell forever" then he laughs at me and it says game over .-. it would seem as if you have to says yes to the devil himself but there is not an option to say anything to him at all.

oh crap i just remembered something, early in the game the devil blesses one of the kings with immortality. maybe if you can keep that king alive just before 1998, and then have him die and then maybe if you say yes to that ghost since he is immortal, thats how to trick him??

i just had a the vase talk to me after i gave it the frozen blood and i was on a crusade! So he tells you about a special machine that can bring anything back to life and that it brough him to life. Then he asks you, if you want something special? One possible answer is "yes". It wouldnt work for me whatever i did, so this sounds like a good call for now

yea i talked to the vase, gave him the frozen blood and i said yes but it wouldnt work for me either but it did say come back to him after youve lost something you need? or he may have said come back after you have something you need? i tried coming back after i lost my arm, i tried after meeting the senator and i tried so many other things, i dont know what to do with this vase. maybe the blue mushroom since you see things differently when on it??

i dont really know what to do about the Vase. But i just had the prompt where you get lured away by the senator and the whole jailed and running away stuff and all that. So That one tells you, you have to make the devil fulfil an unachievable task, to trick it... very mysterious!

I actually love, that it might be some community riddle!

The 6 numbers you get line up with symbols on the timeline that appears every time you die. (You can actually scroll this by moving your mouse to the edge of the screen. It won't let you go past the year you are up to though.)
I haven't checked all the symbols, but here's what I found so far:
Year 651 = Symbol for sulfur (Triangle on top of a t-shape)
Year 683 = Symbol for arsenic (the vertical line with circles on both ends)
Year 842 = Symbol for gold (Circle with a dot in the middle)
Year 1043 = Symbol for fire (Upwards pointing triangle)
Year 1106 = Symbol for mercury (Horned circle on top of a t-shape)
Year 1214 = Symbol for acid (Circle containing a T rotated 90 degrees to the left)
Year 1288 or 1289 = Symbol for neutral (Two v-shapes forming a diamond)
(I think these are correct. If someone could post what years the rest of the symbols line up with or verify what I have already that would be great )

This would make the sequence 1043 (Fire), 683 (Arsenic), 1214 (Acid), 842 (Gold), 1432 (?), 1669 (?). Perhaps these are doors to pick in the Pungeon?

Edit: Made a mistake. Changed Year 1043's symbol from Air to Fire

Ok so the order by the numbers would be air first, that would actually be the exit? so it makes no sense...

Arsenic first happens to kill you. Both combinations make no sense...
Year 1432 is a pentagram sign though
