what is the best way to get a lot of gold fast. not taking 10 or more days to get to 10k to get a new village.

What you do is you get some merchants and find the easiest and most profiable item you can sell to your parish. So like in my current parish cheese is worth 100g per load. Now you could raise your tax to insane amounts but most likely you would start loseing people. The highest possible tax is about 1k a day.

tax/trade eventually you will end up tonnes of gold that sits there aimlessly. lol

Produce a lot of goods and sell them. Also the more villages you have the more money you make from taxes. Set it up right before you log of to have a lot of money when you log in.

Merchants are the fastest way to get gold if you have goods to sell. Even if you don't you can play the market by buying low at one capital and selling for profit at another.
