Can't get to the login screen

Whenever I launch the game, from Steam or the client, the splash comes up and then nothing happens. It never gets to the login screen.

I've tried uninstalling, redownloading and re-installing, but still nothing happens.

I recently upgraded to Windows 10, not sure if this is anything to do with it.

Tried googling it and found nothing, I'm really stuck and my premium token time is ticking away, if anyone could help that'd be great, thanks.

Same problem with me, I submitted a ticket via stronghold kingdoms support site, hopefully ill get a reply soon, ill let you know what comes about from it. And yeah, my villages are going to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up big time when I get back on.....

Yep, same here, but only on my gaming rig. My normal desktop it works fine. Not sure what I did differently. Only thing I can think of is I went from 8.1 to 10 on my gaming computer, and 7 to 10 on the desktop.....

So I figured something out.

I decided to try disabling my AVG and then seeing if it worked.... it did.

Now I just need to figure out how to make AVG not be blocking the game connection.

Anyone good with anti-viruses?

disabling avg free aloud me access no sooner then i turn it back on it stops working

I have gotten feedback from stronghold support team saying it is AVG and a problem on their side. They have contacted AVG regarding this but recommend you add the stronghold file to the AVG exemption folder or disable AVG before you launch stronghold and then enable after. I do this and it works.

I tried putting the file into the exceptions list, but it still did nothing, I've just been disabling AVG while I start it up and enabling it when the game is on and it works, kind of annoying really but at least it's working. Thanks :)

when i try to play stronghold kingdoms it says your DirectX isn't working and i can't play it
