Directx error Win10

Hey guys,
i got a new laptop with win10 and an intel hd graphics onboard graphiccard. My problem is that i cant run SHK on it because it says i got an directx error.
It didnt help to install the intel suite etc. and its not possible to install a old directx (direcx12 is already included in win10).

Anyone had similiar problems or any suggestions to solve it?

Restart your computer if you haven't already, SHK should install the needed DX version. If that doesn't work try contacting support https://support.strongholdkingdoms.com/

It helped for me to install the game from the client without steam. Then i could run it with steam ´without any problems.

Now that you mention it, I've experienced a similar problem, and as with you, installing the stand alone client also installed the required dx components.

For people who wanted to run SHK through Steam, there is a DXSETUP file in the SHK folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stronghold Kingdoms\InstallerFiles); run it and it will tune your current directx (mine was directx 12, win 10) to run with this game (without tampering with your directx version).

Also restart steam & run as admin after this action may help ensure it runs properly.
