I had 4 villages and 4 flourishing parishes under my control. A war started because a house wanted to be greedy and expand. I lost everything and had to rebuild from nothing. You need to become strong enough to be recruited into a good faction that has a good house so your not attacked unless they are willing to start a war with your house. Even then, there is no guarantee you will not be attacked. You might have to try being more political. It is a good game, I do not recommend giving up. Rebuild and come back stronger.

Well, i did restart a few times before i gave up on this game and simply erased my last village by myself... i even spend some money here for packs to support the Devs, but it's just pointless.

So, you can either continue playing cannonfodder for others in this game, may be even find a new spot or join a great house and one morning come back to the ruins of what you've build up again, or you can simply play any other game that has better rules, your call.

Let's be honest here, the ones that wipe you of the map within seconds, are probably also the ones that spend a lot of money in this game, so nothing will be done to change that.

Anyway, i packed my bags and walked away from this game because of this mess, and while i do miss it from times to times, it's also just not worth it, and i have more fun in other games these days, but like i said above, it's your choice...

Dont attack players who are in faction because you will lose in start, attack AL castles, bamdit camps and wolf lairs for start
Wolverine Apr 28, 2020 @ 12:14pm
I only scouted one player (that wasn't in any house at that point) for a quest in my early days into this game, and the very next day my new and rather "simple" castle/village were leveled... lesson learned.

I stayed away from those kind of quest and just played the game, but that didn't stop other players from attacking my village or parish later. The game could be fun for all kind of players with a few changes, but i doubt anything is going to change...

Missread your thread... so you can protect yourself by joining faction/house or get some strong player that is in strong house for vassal lord (you will have protection and he can send you wood&stone to fast build up your 3rd&4th village)

Well, a regular or new player can do very little against someone that "cards" the living crap out of the game or runs multiple accounts, if someone like that wants your spot, it's only a matter of time before you login to nothing and have to start over again.

Besides, even if you manage to "play through" the game by some miracle, at some point a world ends and you have to start from scratch anyway...

Yeah and when some time pass and you research things you need, you will see that you can build a village from 0 to 100 for day or two.

And i repeat, for start, I recommend you to find someone who will vassal you and send stuff to support while you get rank, research and get good defense like pitch monster or something similar (you can try to message players that are close to you and have house and bigger rank or multiple villages)

The problem is, that there's just no balance between the time one has to invest into building something decent up, and the time it takes to destroy that.

And that's not considering how the AI hammers you with insane attacks the moment you start with your castle, i saw attacks with hundreds of enemies against a "wooden" castle with around 20 defenders in it... high level players just waltzing through your defenses is one thing, but why did the Devs implement AI attacks in that kind of quality and quantity too?

I mean, the game isn't bad, but after playing it for a long time it's not something i would recommend to other players in the current state either.

Dead game essentially ran by credit card warriors. Avoid.

dazzle isn't kidding. I revisited this game for the heck of it the other day after avoiding it for a few years.. there is a faction literally named credit card warriors lmfao. it's pathetic. if the game had no or fair monetization I'd say it would be worth the time. maybe at the very least don't level up intentionally and play one or two villages. troll the map and let the serious players waste their honor and resources attacking you since you're such a low level. start up a new village and rinse and repeat. make your own fun :b

honestly I enjoy the game, but it's not for the faint of heart. If you really want to feel safe, find a faction and a house of like minded players and be a team player. Don't bother playing if you want to lone wolf it and never be threatened or bully people and not expect consequences :) Yes, you can pay real money for cards that confer advantages (which you can accumulate without spending much as well). Honestly you should really invest the few dollars needed to get that free card generation to the highest tier at the very least :)

A heavy carder has a huge advantage no doubt, but they also have to spend an inordinate amount of money to actually get an advantage out of it. To me that's fine, because ultimately they are limited in how hostile or aggressive they can be (honor penalties especially attacking lower level players), and them spending money keeps the game running and free for everyone else.

TLDR: Don't piss other people off, join a faction or a house at the very least and just enjoy the game. Don't get upset when you lose something, just learn and come back stronger.

Allow to explain the basic reality of all P2W games:

Most of the people who are attacking you are bots. Not just any bots but bots created by the developers themselves and packed with whatever powers they need to kick your butt. Do you have 100 men guarding? They will spawn 200 an overrun you. And when I say spawn I mean literally spawn - as in pull out of thin air.

Why do they do this? To put pressure on you, the consumer of the product, and shove you down the path of paying real money to get the next upgrade that will allow to fend off attack from said bot.

Which, of course, just causes the bot to spawn even more stuff to throw at you in order to goad you into another purchase.

This is why, by the way, when you find yourself in constantly being raided in games such as these that there is no point to diplomacy. They won't respond. They never respond. That level of sophistication isn't part of the bot's "read player stats-spawn something bigger-attack player" program.

And now you know the horrible truth.

Just like real life?

This is a tough game cause it has frequent interaction between the players. Meaning too much politics. On top of that p2w is surprisingly an accepted aspect of the game. It stops being an unfair advantage when everyone's doing it. And even if someone spends too much, at some point he or she must follow the "rhythm" of others. You will probably hear many times : "this is a war game" but behind every war there is politics. And you can't practice politics on your own. My advice is select random or manually to choose where you want to land. First finish your tutorial. Then search for online beginners tutorials. There are plenty out there. Whenever you have a question search it online to build an idea how this game works. After many years i still learn things that i didn't know, like scouting your own village ffs. Scope your surroundings. Who resides next to you and which houses. If you land in a parish with another person, try to make contact with him. Actually try to make contact with all your neighbors. Learn about them. Where do they belong. What alliances are out there. Who's fighting whom. Who's winning and who's losing. In the meantime find a Liege lord and if possible the stronger the better. As a vassal you gain firstly honor and then depending on your Ll, he might assist you and guide you. Try to find a faction to join, preferably one that belongs to a house, even a small one. It is not bots that attack you. If they were bots, they would have attacked me and others too, but they don't. They are players who want to take over the parish you are in. More parish give control to the county. More counties give control to the province. And lastly provinces give the country. Easier way to get access to a parish is to capture a neutral player. Capturing though a player from another house is an act of war. Many will consider it before attacking you and even more will even consider about doing anything. The stronger a house is the stronger status you acquire and vice versa, strong players form strong houses, but keep in mind that strong houses have more chances to get into a war. The rest are daily experience. Surprises are a common thing in the game. As are spies, traitors, and cheaters. Allies will turn into foes and foes into allies. But that's stronghold.
