Big screen problem (4K monitors - 3840x2160 Res)

I've been trying to search for a solution for quite some time now and still unable to do so.

I use big monitor 38 inch (3840x2160 Res) but the Ui is too small (text and buildings and tabs) and changing the resolution does not help. Was hoping if someone found a solution for this. please help. quit the game a year ago because of this and there still isnt a fix to this yet, any suggestions?

Devs are no help. They just completely ignored it, just wondring if others have the same problem and found a fix to it. If not then i guess im never coming back to the game lol. such a shame.

Its 2020 and still no response. Anyone know what's the best way to contact the staff? I've bought some cards and tokens in this game with real cash and they are just sitting there because I am unable to play this game. Wish I could come back to the game but I guess it might be time to move on if they don't implement some sort of compatibility for new users with higher-end setups(specs). I mean is it that hard to make the game run on different resolutions?

Please staff, if any of you still here, please, please look into this. I would love to get back into the game but its basically unplayable just because of a bigger monitor. Changing resolution messes up everything up on PC so that isn't an option for me..

Did you try to play game on 1920x1080 resolution in windowed mode ?

I have tried all the different resolutions available on my monitor but since its a 4K monitor with a default setting of 3840x2160. Its almost impossible for me to do anything else if I change the settings. Its a scaling problem right now. if Firefly could add a feature that can scale evenly with modern monitors I think they can bring in many more players in.

Hey, not sure if you're still looking for a fix. If so then the best way to fix it is to go to the local files of the game.

Then right click on StrongholdKingdoms.exe and go to properties. Inside properties you should see a compatibility tab.

Inside that tab there should be an option "Change High DPI Settings"

Select that option and a window should pop up.

Underneath "High DPI scaling overide" check the box for Override high DPI scaling behavior.

There is also a drop down where you have to select "System"

Once that is done click OK to close the DPI window and apply the new settings,

That will make it scale as accurately to the resolution as possible according to the system.

This was done on Windows 10 but should work on previous versions as well.

@Metatron115 OMG Thank you so much. I posted this thread on 2018 and it took me over 2 years but now its finally working! I quit for a long time because of this. Geez, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Thank you! I just recently started playing again because of the quarantine and you just saved me so much time switching back from 1700x900 resolution every time I need to open SHK and back to my regular max settings.

No problem! Just glad I stumbled across this, I recently started playing again myself and had recently upgraded to 4k. Took me a good minute to figure it out myself LOL.The DPI settings 'hack' can be used with many other programs if you have any issues with anything else in 4k.
