So if you can just skin them anywhere and get meat/hides what is the point of making a butcher room.. also i was able to skin the wolves and the worms BEFORE I made the skinning knife so the butcher room is entirely useless? And what is the point of marking them to be processed if you get everything by marking them to be skinned.
The well needs to gain some water before a clone takes a bucket to use it. It takes awhile to see it but you can hear it sometimes when theyre using it. it sounds like a splash. Again this game is in Alpha so there will be things incomplete. You can still skin and get meat and use the equipment in the butcher room without assigning a butcher room.
So I have water in my well.. I also have several wooden buckets.. I also have a UI promt telling me I'm low on water.. the well even has water in it..but nobody will use the wooden bucket from storage to get me water out of the well.
As for the butchers room.. the issue is not that i cant make a butchers room.. I can make everything the room requires and even assign the room to be a butchers room. the problem is interacting with the table says requires a knife to use.. I have several in storage but no clones will use them.
Is this an old save or a new game?
Butchering gives +1 more meat.
When you find a dead animal, before clicking anything, mouse over the Process option and read the description at the very bottom. It should say what butchering does.
Also, not being able to butcher may have to do with designating the room as a Butcher Room from the Construction menu.
The Butcher Knife might work like the water bucket, you only need one crafted and anyone can pick it up and use it.
Do any of your clones have Water Seeker priority selected in the profile tasks?
