Is anyone's multiplayer working?

Hi,
I tried starting a multiplayer game with my friend in Stronghold 3 but neither him nor I could find each other when we hosted a game. We both are running Stronghold 3 off of Steam not a disc. Is there a reason why no games whatsoever show up in my multiplayer menu? I can host an unlocked game for eternity and no one shows up and no matter how many times I hit the refresh button no hosted games show up. I checked to make sure my ports that steam uses were up and running which they were. So is the problem on my end or the servers end? I'm running the most updated version of the game and still the multiplayer doesn't seem to be working. Does anyone have a suggestion of what I could do to force it or help it out? Thanks

Its a big fail from Firefly studios. They server is just sick there are many players who want to play but cant play. Better u wait about 1 month. Maybe they will update this bugs and make the multipalyer better

I just installed the game and played it for the first time today, since I bought it months ago. I feel as if I missed the boat on online game play b/c I tried several times to play multiplayer with no success. Is there still a large number of people still playing this?

Mine isnt working either I remember that Stronghold 2 server stayed online for a long time and people were always playing it until it stopped working a year or 2 ago.

Hi, well im new on this steam world, and today im looking for to buy some games. and stronghold 3 look like a perfect game to start to play on my steam. my question is, im looking for the multiplayer feature, and im found everyone said that the multiplayer doesnt work well, so what do you think guys, should i buy this game ?

I got the same issue , many problems with multiplayer synchonisation. Well wished they made it beter, but eventhough im a very big fan of the stronghold franchise i do not like this title, its more a (i find bad) story telling stronghold WITHOUT the skirmisk mode abbility so you wont find yourself fighting a battle against a cpu like the wolf orso , just a scripted amount of ememy troops attacking you. thats why i wanted the multiplayer to work. but appertly that has major issues as well.

well you could try some thing else it might work or it might not. download a game engine called hamachi. make a server then go to the multiplayer LAN games and type in the host of the game ip address that hamachi will give you. also i never player stronghold 3 because the game will not start. but the idea of multiplayer is true for all stronghold games and other as well

Any fix for this yet? Only bought it for multiplayer... feel like I got jipped.
