Free Build mode

Okay, the free build mode have some advantages than the first game of the serie, but there is an issue which lose some points. Construction limit, why this exists? There is 4 maps (in gold edition), and large maps! But i can't occupy the map with the construction limit.
Anyone knows if there is a way to cancel the construction limit? Or if the construction limit changes with the map?
I was happy with the game until i discovered this :/
