I am also having problem in openSUSE 12.2, after upgrading the kernel_3.16.7 and this problem also affected The Witcher 2, but onte was released a beta correction in public, I hope a fix for Stronghold 3 since the problem and because of the EON both games use for Linux size.
Thank U!

Hello, this is an unrelated comment on a long dead thread, however, I am currently trying to play the game in 2023 on a 10900K and a 3080 and I keep experiencing random crashes. It's really frustrating because I will make good progress on my campaign and then have to start the mission all over.
Is there any fix for this? I'm on a windows 11 based machine, 64bit with 52gb of DDR4 3200MHz RAM
