I really really really like the work William put on this game... but

Look, it is an awesome game ok, I liked playing it, and it is beautiful, nice puzzles, soundtrack is great too, William Chyr deserves a lot of praise. But I can't believe this was one of the games that "bait and switched" to Epic Games Store, and I truly ask, was it worth it? I know 2019/2020 were darker times, where Epic Games was trying to consume and exclusive all games to them, clearly they failed, but this AWESOME game, indie, being included on that hell surprised me, just saying.

Why are you attaching morality to a developer getting paid to have their game on a platform for an exclusive period? It's hard enough to make money doing gamedev, shaming people for switching storefronts in exchange for a guaranteed that they won't go hungry if the game ends up bombing seems pointless. One of my favourite games of last year wouldn't have even existed without Epic funding it. Is it my favourite store front? No. The UI is clunky and they took what felt like forever to implement features like achievements. But it's utterly inconsequential in the scheme of things. Steam had a functional monopoly for over a decade and no one really cared.
