How can I reset the giant "tetris" pieces?

Not sure which level you are referring to specifically. There are two major areas with the giant tetris blocks However, I don't think they should be in a state that's irreversible. Whichever state you find yourself in, you should be able to complete the puzzle.

I believe I have reached the second area where the tetris blocks are found. So far I have not been able to make them cooperate. They don't seem to be falling from the sky on a regular basis here. It seems that rather than wait for a block to come by, I have to dive down and somehow land on or near one that is helpfully positioned.

Progressing to an even later set of tetris blocks, I struggled and struggled, and I'm afraid I had to look repeatedly at a walkthrough. Even then, it was difficult to determine whether they were placed correctly. Experimentation was necessary, since one could not look at the situation from all sides as if one held a model in one's hands.
