Combat Trial Advancement
I feel like this game has a lot going for it, or at least it did. Now that the player base is incredibly low, it's incredibly hard for new players to get into the game. Especailly Combat trials. The only way to increase that is via PvP but there is no match making that balances out new players and old players. I joined three days ago and all I've fought are players 50+ and it being a constant loss.

Do they plan to do anything to make combat trials more attainable or are new players just out of luck?

hello,

developers don't support that game anymore and moved to other projects. aside from keeping the servers running, don't expect any more involvement from creators

and yes, I totally understand and share your frustration - you are correct, the gap between new players and old players is huge with no ground in between

the only thing I can recommend is to join official discord group - https://discord.com/invite/absolver - maybe here you can ask for help, like teaching you, sharing various tactics and secrets?

are you still lvling when you lose?
yes, you do

in order to get +1 CT level you have to get x5 points. you get x1 point for participation (if you lose), x1 point for winning 2 rounds, x1 point for a victory, and x1 point if you are mentor of your school and won during School Challenge event

in other words, you get x1 point regardless of win/lose, so even by constantly losing you still may levelup a bit

If you're NA and want a punching bag I want to work on my defensive game. I will say that I don't think level 50 is that high, and those are probably people who picked up the game recently. I'm fairly new myself, and I got to about 50 by playing through the PvE content (became Absolver, and then Downfall to lvl 3)

Would say, any standard level until 60 is considered low since the 60 standard is the max cap for stat attributes, anything higher is for prestige/crystal farming.

However mostly it's about the deck and your awareness instead of levels. I'm still bronze, but one day I able to defeat a jade in battle, not often but yeah... Good luck

Try joining some school or such and equip their deck if you are new to the game instead of forcing your deck in if your move lists is low.

Actually on that last point, you don't have to be "mentor" you just have to be eligible for the school challenge conditions. This requires you to equip all the school gear, for which you have to be a disciple but not necessarily mentor. And just being the mentor or a disciple isn't enough, you have to win while all the relevant gear is equipped. School mask, both school powers, and the style and deck.
