Otherwise, the game itself is aesthetically, thematically, and mechanically amazing! Especially when you just start the game and go about discovering all about it. Of course the PVP is the meat and potatoes, but there is value in playing the game on its own, even for a bit.
advice is just wait for a discount under a 5$
That being said, if you're not scared of high difficulty, this game is worth it, especially on a sale, but you have to understand that most of the gameplay for it comes from PvP, rather than PvE, so if you'd like to pick the game up purely for PvE, you might not want to do that, since there's only about 2 hours of PvE content at best.
How is this related to OP's question?
Furthermore, am I wrong? It's a given that in any game (or actually any activity) over time the playerbase becomes more skillful, since the players become more experienced.
It's also a given that more experienced players are more invested into the game, and therefore are more likely to stick around and continue playing the game, even once it gets no support. Players who happen to be less experienced can also be pushed out due to not having fun dealing with players multiple times better at the game than they are.
As such, it's obvious that over time the remaining playerbase's average skill level grows higher, and therefore:
ok Developer Grand Master High Skilled. :)
Since you're literally not even reading my message, I'm not going to bother responding to you the next time.
I'm extremely curious as to why do you feel the need to talk about me or to me on an unrelated discussion. It is quite telling that as soon as I decided to provide my answer to OP's question, you decided to comment on it. I can only speculate that you can't help yourself, but want some sort of an argument. I don't like being egocentric, but you quite literally are poking at me.
Edit: I have also stated about fifty times that:
Edit over.
If you want to discuss me specifically, go create your own discussion. I had wasted enough time talking to you, trying to prove to other members of the community that you actually are a sensible person. I was wrong, since, judging by the way you choose to interact with your fellow Absolver Players. You might actually be a decent person outside of Steam Forums and the game, but I do not know that.
As mentioned above, unless you're capable and willing of partaking in a proper discussion, I'm not going to bother answering. From my perspective, I'm trying to understand your point and explain mine, but it seems to be that your only goal is in annoying and pestering me or whoever has the time for you.
It's both useless and pointless and I'm not partaking in a similarly useless discussion that loops back a billion times, simply because your cannot admit to being wrong and prefer pointing your finger and laughing at someone that tries to have a sensible conversation with you.
there is nothing sensible, if you are having a conversation with people who say A and then do B. the only thing I can say is Ok Developer Grand Master High Skilled. :)
I'm happy that you agree that talking to you is pointless and that you actually recognise that it is so. At least there is one thing that we actually got across to you, which is quite nice.
hello to you, yes the game is fun and worth trying, maybe discounted, even if there are actually few players, both in game and in discord, the majority of the players still active use cheats, which you can not avoid. in their humble opinion it improves the game, compared to the work done by the developers. so even if you take the discounted product, you risk never being able to play it 100% in essence it is a game abandoned by everyone, by the players, and by the developers.
You're not being truthful.
These so called cheats are cheats by your definition. The majority of the active community disagrees with you. Yes, this is a mod that rebalances the game. Yes, it shouldn't be used in CTs, but inevitably it will be. The discussion on this topic has already reached its' conclusion.
No-one's stopping anyone from playing the game in its original state. Arguing about this isn't the topic of this discussion. If you truly wanted to do something about it, you would do so, but you're not doing anything, but blabbing your mouth. At the very least you could create a community for Vanilla players, but you're not doing even the slightest amount of work for it.
The game isn't abandonded by players. Literally, Jadefest tournament is running registrations right now. People often hang out in CTs too. Saying that is abandoned by the players is a literal lie, considering that there is in fact an active playerbase. Yes, it is small, but it is there.
Is the game worth it? It depends, the PvE is incredibly short, the PvP can let you play for hundreds of hours if you like the gameplay, the playerbase is minimal but thanks to the discord server you can find someone to fight pretty easy.
However, you should know that there is a war going on, on one side those (Alex Shakura and some other rare player) who play the vanilla game, and on the other side the majority of the community who instead prefer to fight using a mod, since the game has not been patched or fixed for 5 years the players have created this mod to solve various problems that the vanilla game has.
Thats it, I still recommend getting the game on sale, then if you like PvP you can delve deeper by joining the discord server, at the moment the situation is this (and it will never change because the developers are working on another project)
PS: Expect from now on under this post a few hundred comments between Alex and us, who will argue without ever being able to reach an agreement.
