Easy Anticheat Not Trusting System Files on Windows 10 (Unsolved)
Just like it says in the topic title, I'm getting errors trying to start the game saying that Easy Anticheat is untrusted. What should I do if I want to play the game again now that there's new content?

Getting error number (0xc000007b) and then "Untrusted system file (\Windows\System32\normaliz.dll)". I omitted which drive it was installed in for the latter because I'm paranoid.

Edit: Heading out to work soon, so I thought I should mention that I've already tried verifying the integrity of the game files and restarting my computer.

Edit 10/2/2018: Changed the title to be more accurate.

Your antivirus is being too picky. You should add it as an exception.

EDIT: Wait do you mean that silly pop-up that blacks your screen when you open a program? That's nothing you can just click "yes".

It's a windows dialogue box that pops up with the X in a circle. I'll try to find it to add as an exception, thank you Rinera!

Edit: My antivirus is being a fussy baby and not wanting to open at all. So this'll have to wait =T

Further Edit: It's not my antivirus! So I still have a problem with this. I guess I'm going to not play at all for a long time.

I'm just gonna give up on playing for awhile. I do not have the time between work to up my frustration levels with trying to make this work.

Final Edit: Easy Anti-Cheat is the one detecting the error with \Windows\System32\normaliz.dll, so... yeah. Easy Anti-Cheat is a horrid mess.

So, something you could do is make sure normaliz.dll is not an actual virus. The file itself is intended to be there but Easy Anti Cheat complaining about it seems... off.

Best way is to open the Command Prompt with admin rights by searching "cmd" on the windows searching thingy. Make sure you right click the found Command Prompt program and chose "Run as Administrator". Once that's open type "sfc /scannow" and hit Enter. It might take a while.

After that's over and assuming it works without further issues, restart your PC and try again.

If Absolver still doesn't work, you should try going at the folder where Absolver is installed, and in the EasyAntiCheat folder there's a file called EasyAntiCheat_setup. If you run that it will attempt to repair itself.

That's as far as I can help on the matter, if none of that works I don't know...

Thank you for the help Rinera, but unfortunately the issue remains. EasyAntiCheat just won't let me play Absolver with files that are supposed to be in my computer.

I'm just going to have to give up on Absolver forever.

Hello HeartlessHealer,

We are sorry to hear that you still have an issue with Easy Anti-Cheat.

Please check the following articles on the support website of Easy Anti-Cheat:

Thank you, slcp_russianwolf, but the only remaining solution I haven't done that they suggest is essentially formatting my computer and that's an absolute no. I'm gonna have to drop the game unless something changes.

I had lots of fun in fight world when I was playing though.

Hi HeartlessHealer,

We are sorry that nothing helped you with this issue. Have you tried collecting logs as described here[www.easy.ac] and sending them to Easy Anti-Cheat for further analysis and help?

If you could please send us the results from this troubleshooting at support_PC@sloclap.com, the logs could help us find the source of the issue. Please also include your username and the time & date the issue occurred. We’d really appreciate this and will reply back as soon as we're able.

Thank you, I'll send the logs to Easy Anti-Cheat and Sloclap support when I can. For the date and time that the issue first occurred, it should be within an hour before the opening post of this thread. I'll submit that information with the logs when I write the e-mail.
