Is this worth getting 2022? For PVE? PVP?
My wife and I love coop pve, but we also enjoy coop pvp, we played for honor to absolute death.

So my questions are:

1: Is it worth it for PVE?

2: This game is 5 years old, is the PVP so mastered by the majority that a noob stands a snowball's chance in hell

When it came out I was desperate to try it, but I had satellite internet but now it it's worth it I'd love to give it a go.

PS: Heard the community is pretty great which is rare in melee focused games so good job guys!

Yes it is still worth playing. And you can level up fast. I really enjoy playing this game and the community is great - but be warned, some of the guys will attack you, like I do.
But to be honest - there are many nice guys playing this game. So give it a try.
My favorite opponent is Vetro ( @Vetro: One day I will beat you - so stop running away :D ).

The PvE features are:
-The story, go around the map killing all the bossfights and the final boss, very short (a few hours if you don't speed run).
-Once the story is over, you unlock the Downfall, a dungeon on 3 levels in which the rooms are generated randomly, you can do it in co-op; it's fun, but after the 10th time you do it again you start to hear the repetition; I still do it every now and then and I enjoy it, but just doing that gets boring.

This is why I say the game is 90% PvP, and that's the good part! There are players who have been playing for years, but there are also new players from time to time, the combat is very technical so it is not easy to find really good players you will not find yourself too disadvantaged.
The good thing is that most of the capable players are also very kind and ready to explain how combat works, there is even a discord server that functions as an academy where the most experienced teach PvP to those who want to learn.

So yea for me it was worth it to buy it, I took it a few years ago (it was already considered dead game) and yet I have done more than 1000 hours on it and I have not found particular problems such as insurmountable bugs or too few players.

Yes, on sale. For 10 euros or below you'll easily get enough out of it even if you don't want to invest yourself in the PVP.

No, there is 3v3 mode but you need to ask players to join because in this times no one join the queque for random 3v3. The best thing to do is to join the official discord or academy, which are the most populated servers, and ask there if anyone wants to do 3v3.

I say yes, because Absolver is my favorite video game, heavy bias, but nearly 4,000 hours on PC, tack on another..1,500 on playstation, It's a fun time regardless of your criteria, if you like games that let you pick up and play, but require your attention to get better. You can for sure find the value for the asking price as a single player/cooperative game, but the meat of Absolver, like the upcoming SIFU, lay in the creativity and 'gamefeel' of its combat mastery.

So, yeah, but, maybe no, depending if you're looking for a deep, lengthy, story driven RPG, which Absolver really only structures itself as to initiate you into that initial understanding of it's systems, such that you can 'get creative' and begin pushing against the skill ceiling, while you build-a-fighter. It's a one of a kind video game, for what it does best- at least until SIFU, its single-player little brother, out in just a couple days, shows up to compete on similar pretense, minus the PVP, and multiplayer.
