While I agree that theres a very high chance of Sifu 2 they now also have the financial backup to make a proper successor to Absolver.
Absolvers main problem was mostly that it was just "not enough". Underdeveloped with not enough PVE content and no meaningful PVP systems. So not far enough above a "minimal viable product". On top, Sloclap where unknown, which is a problem if you have to draw in a stable active user-base for an online game.
Would an Absolver 2 be doomed to fail? Doubt it. Especially not with the new, additional publicity. A Sifu 2 is a safer bet, ofc.
I mean I know they made the game to be a PvP BUT in my opinion it was alot more fun to do PvE with random and friends, when I played nobody was PvPing, everyone was minding their own business doing their stuff and thats what I really liked about!
I really hope that they go back to absolver and make a second one with PvE been the focus with a lot of DGs and places to explore with friends!
Maybe I will get it on steam and start again! :3
