Hard to call developing another project after doing all they possibly could to revive an ultimately failed release "abandoning".
With money from EPIC and, hopefully, lessons learned on Absolver's failings (the monetization model chosen was a massive mistake, among other things), there is a chance the next project will fare better than Absolver did.
I`m saying this now because of SIFU... the game that started the Absolver lack of content , there was a rummor long time ago that sloclap was going to do a single player focused game, i heard that prob 1/2 years after absolver lauch
The new game looks good and feels very interesting, just a shame that for now it's Epic Games only, we'll await the reviews...
Lol. Ask the creators of other online games who support them for like 15 years and more. 3,5 years and that's it? Really?
If we ever want to see them come back to Absolver, keep playing the game, get into Sifu, tell your friends tog et Absolver too, and when they realize there's still a way to support themselves on Absolver they will come back to it.
Long off, but here's to hoping for Absolver 2.
So a single player Story driven game with absolver style combat sounds awesome to me. I will definatly buy it.
