Thank you for your time.

Stagger cannot be your starting style. You unlock it during the course of the game's story. I suspect it's also a lesson in how the mentoring system for the game works, but that's just a guess.

The ability is called "stumble" and it's a set of unique attacks with defensive effects. Basically, it adds 4 new attacks to your combat deck, which can be used at any time, but at the cost of having a "proper" defensive skill.

Up attack is a charging shove/headbutt looking move which lets you power through one enemy hit. This attack type was called "absorb" attacks in beta (absorb haymaker is quite famous in-game), but got renamed either "charging" or "charged" (unlcear which, but I'm pretty sure it's one of those).

Down attack is a stumbling back evasive kick which appears to have an "avoid high" effect with it, and also looks like it moves you away from the opponent.

The side attacks are "avoid left" and "avoid right" attacks, good for getting out of the line of a thrust or vertical strike.

None of these attacks hits hard, and I haven't seen enough to know if they regen your stamina on successful countering of an attack like the starting style specials do. It's a very interesting twist on how the special ability system works, though.

Thank you, obliviondoll! So it is not like the others (Kahlt, Windfall, Forsaken), am i right? I really love the Drunken Master style and i it would be awesome to see more of it within the game!

They all have their own unique style, but it's in a way the least directly defensive special skill. Kahlt can also be argued for that title, though, in its own way.

so i can select the windfall-style from scratch and then search for the stagger style moves to add those to my combat deck?

The style you choose gives you a selection of moves to use when you begin, but DOESN'T limit your use of any fighting moves at all. If you're Windfall, you can build a deck with only Stagger attacks and keep the avoid defensive skill if you want. A Kahlt player can build a deck of Forsaken and Windfall attacks and keep the absorb defensive skill too, if they want.

It's very much free for players to mix-and-match the defensive ability and attack combinations they want to use.

So, if I understand right - only thing why stagger is uniqe is because of his confusing moves that look different form other once. So, if i unlock all of them, and place them, for example, in forsaken deck, i still will be as confusing as I was with playing Stagger, but im gonna have parry too. (btw, I liked your avatar, so i picked it :) )

I got the avatar from a link the devs have provided in several places to get avatars from. I have no issue with others using it (I'm planning to use this mask in-game too).

As for your understanding of Stagger, no. There ARE moves associated with Stagger style, and you can learn those and use them in any other deck. The "Stumble" technique, however, is unique to Stagger.

it gives you 4 special actions (like Windfall's avoid) which are performed using the right stick at any time. These actions are, however, attacks rather than purely defensive actions. Each one has a form of special effect.

With any other style, you have:
3 - 6 defensive options - guard, dodge, special technique (Parry is 2-way and Windfall is 4).
2 offensive options - sequence attack, alternative attack.

With Stagger you have:
2 defensive options - guard, dodge.
6 offensive options - sequence, alt, charge attack, dodgeback attack, and sidestep attacks.

The 4 stumble moves are performed using the right stick, NOT equipped into your combat deck the way normal attacks are. They're not equippable by a character using another style. It makes your offense much harder to predict because you can string them into a combo any time.

Okay, thanks! I get it now!
P.S. You actually listed 5 offensive options for Stagger :)

No I didn't. You forgot to count sidestep attacks (plural) in both directions.
