Quick question: Do people still play this game online?

So I've had this game in my library for a while, but never really picked it up as I did for "For Honor". But with the corona virus and all, I thought I'd give it a go.

Do people still play online? Or is this game dead?

It's recently had a bit of a resurgence in the playerbase from a free weekend and hasn't entirely died down from that yet. Community/playerbase is slowing down though, so you're probbaly only going to find players if you're on during active hours for your region (the game has region locking, although it can be bypassed with invites from out of region friends). It's currently peaking around 100 active players at best on any given day, but for the scale of the game, that's not a bad number even if it wouldn't be sufficient for a typical team-focused game or a battle royale or other community.

I was under the impression you could no longer invite friends? Or is that just on console?
I have it on here as well as Xbox

There's a recent problem caused by an incompatibility between something in Absolver's code and something in an update on XBox which has broken invites there. PS4 and PC are both fine for players inviting one another, though.

Great to know. I recently convinced an Xbox friend to get it so I could play with someone I know but we were sad to see it wouldn't work. He has Steam also so I'll see if he's willing to get it.
