your looking to bore yourself if you focus only pve at its current state. I would suggest you look on youtube for builds that fit your playstyle. Focus Primarily on getting the movesets you need via pve. That is on the only way i know how to extend replayability as a solo player. Unfortunatly... in order to replay bosses is to rank up through pvp (Hopefully im wrong) meaning youll have to take a few L's to re fight bosses and get their moveset. glhf

I just dont like pvp at all, I never play pvp games, I think they make everyone , and I include myself in this, act like idiots. So I wait for some pve/coop content.

It is a PvP fighting game with a splash of PvE but mostly a dueling game.

I do not agree. One could enjoy the scenery, music, art style and occasionally fight without being overly competitive. I'm pretty casual. I enjoy the creation aspect if the game.

The PvE for the game isn't very extensive. There is, however, a major PvE update coming sometime later this year. Full details will be announced sometime during this month, which means the game will still be free on PS+ when the news breaks. So if that's the kind of experience you're after, maybe wait for the news before making your final decision.

Oh you can "purchase" the game on ps+ when its free, and then download it later. I already did that, this question was more if it was worth trying. Now I know just wait a few more months and wait for the pve update.

the pve will entertain you for only 10 to 15 hours to completely beat (Learning all moves and getting all hidden in game items). garanteed 6 to 8 hours of fun to beat all the in-game bosses.

PvP is supposed to be part of the core experience of this game so it's hard to disclude it from the game.

They are adding a new PvE mode that has a focus on re-play ability! Besides this mode coming, PvE will likely be more of a focus for the rest of this game's life, since the PvP is pretty well established (but more balancing is neeeded).

I was thinking about the PvE aspect of this game. It made me think of what would make the PvE interesting. I came up with the idea of Random Elite Spawns with unique looks. This would be similiar to "marked ones" but they would randomly spawn in the universe of the game at random locations. This would make each game play experience different because random elites could spawn through out the map to spice things up.

I created a new discussion forum for this idea.

I thought the whole map was just a tutorial area and I thought the ending of the game was just an ending of the tutorial

There's a lot of people who would argue that you're right. PvE is just the PvP tutorial.

There is the whole "Pokemon" aspect of "Gotta catch 'em all!" as it pertains to finding new moves.

I haven't played a ton of PVP matches, but I've squeezed around 50 hours between two characters primarily in PVE (both in, and out of solo mode).

Hunting moves, exploring, suiting yourself up, building a deck, and playing your deck against the NPCs is what made up 90% of my play time. And with the new PVE update that's slated to release, I can see myself jumping back into the game as a primarily PVE player.

The 1v1 PVP is quite fun, too!

I don't have time to read all the replies here, but having just hit 3kCT, I can say that I am excited to (probably supplimentar-ily to other previous posts) inform that more PVE is coming in the gigantic expansion update they will be releasing later this year. If you just got the game, you can re-challenge each cutscene boss three times for their gear and I"m guessing that you don't have nearly all the moves yet- so you can spend some time exploring and farming moves like they were pokemon. I totally get how people can like this game and not like PVP, even if it is a fighting game, there's no reason at this point to shoo people away from Absolver for their preferences, and in addition, Sloclap has been on the case for months building a PVE extension to satisfy other players who feel this way. So, enjoy the open world you have now, not much longer before there's a lot more of it :). Hope that is encouraging. You also prestige past level 60 and earn rift coins to spend on cosmetics, of which there are too many to earn in the time we have before the next update (not even I have EVERYTHING yet), so as fashion is a big part of Absolver, lookin' fly is another thing you can work toward without touching PVP.

Also, I am certain my time played is at least a third in the combat deck editor; get creative! Learnone way of fighting, then another, then another- the customizeability of what you choose for your moves is endless in how you order them, so maybe watch a fight scene from a movie and try to build a deck that mimics it, I do this from time to time and it's a fun little way to RP in the game. At this point I'm sure there are other prospects out there looking for others to Co-op grind out xp/moves with, so Lots of things to play with in the meantime pre-essence mines/jeet kun do update.

The PVP is fantastic, but I have to finally concede that I understand that for the popularity spike as of late, instead of repeating and discouraging that it's a fighting game, embrace players that like the PVE aspect and lastly, glad you're enjoying the game, there's a lot more to enjoy in the near future.
