Been waiting patiently to finally purchase this game and it doesn't even start :(
Launch Error with Easy Anti-cheat. Error code 30005 (StartService failed with1450.)

I have no idea what it means or what to do. The support website isn't really useful either.
Anyone had any experience with this? Thanks

The devs look in here somewhat regularly, and will probably be along to post a support email address to contact shortly. Here's the dev post from a similar topic on the front page (issue isn't identical to yours, but it includes the email address so... might help?

EAC glitches are often solved by reinstalling the EAC software - for some reason it doesn't always install correctly alongside some games on some systems. Another possible solution could be to either do what the above quote mentions and reinstall, or to use Steam's "verify file integrity" tool, which can sometimes help without needing a full reinstall of anything, just updating a few game files instead of the whole system.

I remember having a similar issue during the early implementations of anti-cheat.

Actually, If I remember correctly, starting the game from the desktop shortcut versus opening up in steam via the library produced a different result. I can't promise that will work here, but it might be worth a shot! Just a few clicks, after all :) If it doesn't work, we'll all know lol.
