As a Windfall... how the hell do you efficiently counter Stagger?
Since dodging Stagger attacks seems to be useless, or usefull in only certain times (because of the quick sucession of hits Stagger has, wich are usually quick "double" hits, back punches and head smashes), how can I counter it without actually having to go with Stagger moves?

Note: Please don't "git gud", I can take a joke of course, but I've seen people who are just too troll(y) and say that all the time.

Thanks in advance.

Dodging the stagger attack rarely works but can be done. Honestly most of your domination will come from strategy; hit and run, learning their moveset fast, and then knowing what is coming and dodging literally everything. As windfall I rarely spam, I smack 1-3 times and dodge away. Repeat until I'm pressured or comfortable then matrix dodge. 9/10 times it works to be patient, I'm level 40 and have probably only lost like 5 times.

Also don't be afraid to use gravity or exhaust or earthquake. Ledge, no ledge, don't matter. Take advantage of a sea change and spam the hell back if you like your deck for it.

stagger moves are straight or/with sweeps, you cant side dodge those.

Ducking is the prefered method. Hold block until you can figure out the tells.

Oddly, I learned some stagger and used it against them.
I play really defensive against stagger styles. You CAN dodge, but you have to let them hammer your block til you start to learn the combos. Most of the time, your stamina will hold up unless they try to use gaurd breaks, which are the easist to dodge. Try and bait out a charge attack etc. I agree its the hardest style to dodge though.

the trick is too dodge only what you need too dodge, i actually just switched from windfall too stagger stance and i've been doing much worse since people realize they can block literally everything i do,

so pretty much just dont try and doge just block till they throw out something too try and break your block

i run a stagger style pretty exclusively, and other styles can beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of it, really throws me off when someone's being defensive until my stamina drops below a quarter full, that's usually when people will lunge in with combos and whatever, because i can't get out of the way very easily.

granted i don't spam stagger, and try to actually apply it in a tactical manner, but it can be beaten, it's happened. remember: a lot of stagger players are Normal speed or lower, and the majority spam their buttons - so their attacks are delayed as hell. Sidestep works the best unless they're a sweeper. in that case, spam shockwave/earthquake/gravity, piss them off ;)

Side note: Running some stagger moves with the base decks for windfall/khalt/forsaken is always a good counter, too. I don't ever expect to see those decks using any stagger moves, and if done right they come out fast and surprise the hell out of you.

Unlock target and back up. Its how I compensate for people that have fast succession stun hits

Honestly? Some stagger moves should be in the "Standard Deck Build", is how good they are. Some moves from each style, but stagger is notable in that some of their fast moves have greater range without sacrificing speed.

That said, I personally find the stagger style itself to be subpar, because of the lack of stamina recovery.

what is sea change?

Turn of the tide, change in the pace. Don't be afraid to let loose once you learn their moveset and dodge effectively with in and out tactics.

Hum Ok, you seem to know what you´re doing
Yesterday I made a Khalt ragequit because of that. He would chain combo me if he used gravity, so I countered him by literally running, since gravity doesnt affect running for some reason XD

But the thing is.... If I try to hit and run, how can I backup from those filthy freaking LONG range attacks that literally bend in my direction?

Yeah, I also actually only tend to use heals if im just being destroyed, or in the end of the round.
But its slowy changing, I might change my shockwave (wich is kinda broken, full chain combo breaker while you get stamina and a lot time to breath and think) to gravity (wich can be countered....by running, but if hit, completelly unstopable
