try changing your combat deck; if you have a lot of slow moves everything is harder.

^This... While I know how tempting it is to use moves with mass powa and look cool, remember your stats and school. Also, don't be afraid to see RED when building your deck. Remember, directions indicate flow, as you extend combos, you don't have to finish them and can shift into something else. Mastering and feeling out your OWN flow is key. No winning combo. This system, which I saw in games like Kengo, Soulbringer and Godhand before this, reward you finding your OWN flow while understanding underlying stats. Break rules, find your own beat, don't rush, go into practice, experiment.

Don't underestimate block either. Most bosses have a set number of attacks in their deck. You can "usually" block with a full meter, rest to build yours back up, then attack or use defensive measures.

If you feel your desk isn't up to par, go spar some more with NPCs or players and build you deck to suit your style.

And this. Sound advice.

ALSO LEARN CANCELS!
PFunDaddy Aug 30, 2017 @ 10:03pm
Ahh also learn to golden time your moves; when you attack there's a meter that appears with a marker. Time it to go faster and use less stamina, and you can start it out of a dodge as well.

And pay attention to your equipment and how it impacts you based on school, moves and stats. You got this. I believe in you all.

This ^ um, you are not supposed to spam attacks... well, it depends on moves, stamina and style, but yeah, not supposed to spam.

^ Fake are the cancels that are important to learn I mentioned earlier. Understanding cancel, block and dodge, you will own NPCS....sorta, kinda... it is a start at least.

You are, however, supposed to press your advantage. If you can get their stamina low, don't give them breathing room.

Angrel is Kahlt, and uses Absorb very heavily - he overdoes it a bit, so having the ability to feint into a breaking attack can be useful. Smashing through the absorb with a chunking GB hit will leave him vulnerable, especially if you can follow with a perfect-chained attack right after.

Feints in general are strong against most AIs.

Or just use Windfall and have no worries.

My desk is split down the middle and held together with tape and cardboard... I know its not up to par, but whats that got to do with my game?
