As for Kahlt, I'm pretty sure people would go for Endurance/Vitality, since he's pretty much a tank with that Absorb ability. More stamina to block longer, and vitality for more HP always helps.
This is just what I personally think I'd do, and before I even get any experience playing as well.
Edit: Oh, cool. I didn't realize they pointed out which stats the different classes specialize in.
1. Forsaken, balanced and powerful
2. Kahlt, strong and resistant
3. Windfall, higher dexterity and will
4. Stagger, unpredictable and savage
If we go based on those descriptions, we can assume Kahlt will benefit from Strength and Vitality, and Windfall will benefit from Dexterity and Will, so since Forsaken is balanced, a combination of Strength and Dexterity would probably be used.
The only one that really confuses me on how it'd work is Stagger since I've pretty much only seen the style used against whoever I'm watching play, so I have pretty much no idea how it works. At best, I can only guess a build for it would probably be similar to Forsaken, only with more Vitality since Stagger's defensive abilities have you attacking through your opponent's attack, and I believe you take reduced damage during that time, so you'd obviously need more health to compensate.
Basically what CatPaw said.
Forsaken - "The movements of this combat style have been refined and balanced over the years to allow for great versatility.
Balanced style with a slight focus on Strength."
Kahlt - "The Kahlt Method emerged in the barren mountains of the Tear after the Downfall.
Improves mainly Strength and Vitality."
Windfall - "Originally coming from the Orate, it was refined by the Adal Empire masters, who integrated Tension arts within it, allowing for better use of Tension Shards.
Improves mainly Dexterity."

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I recall that Stagger has 3 "different" defensive abilities, one for the up direction, one for down, and the sides being the same thing. I think 'up' was a sort stumble/attack with super armor, "down" was an evade and kick, and sides were just side dodges? Not too sure. Also, based on your comment and I-Love-Cookies's comment, it seems they actually provide us with info on which stats the styles specialize in. Is there no info like that for stagger? D=
Sorry, Stagger page is empty on the wiki :(
D: nooo...
I hope they update it once information on how to unlock Stagger style becomes easily accessible. Or, I guess they'd show that in-game when someone gets the style?
Then again you're free to build your character the way you want regardless of which style you pick in the beginning, so my best advise is to just hop in and see what kind of attacks/playstyle you like and build your stats based on that.
