Somehow I don't think this mole is a real miko...

I wonder if there is a bug in level 3-9. Near the end of the level, you have to get past two bats. Here's how to change the language of the game, in case someone is trying to figure it out like I did. My game always started in Dutch, but since I prefer to play in English, I tried setting the language through Library -> Miko Mole -> Properties -> Language. However, setting the language here has no effect. Instead, I have to change the language in the Windows settings. I'm running Windows 10 and have to go to Control Panel -> Region -> Formats and set the format to the language you want to use....
