Detective - Tatarigoroshi Achievement

i'm having a bit of trouble getting this achievement for some reason. i've read all of the tips right when i got them and even tried to read the tips through the extras after i beat the game. i have all of the other achievements, but this one and i can't figure out how to unlock it!

does anyone know how to fix this?

You sure you didn't miss any? Did you read all of them again (and all the way through), just to be sure? Achievements can sometimes not trigger when they should, so maybe try it again.

yeah, i just went through them again and i still didn't get it unfortunately :(

I ended up using steam achievement manager to get it in the end :(

The same problem! I have read all the 19 TIPS again and again.

I had the same issue and just solved it !

Had to uninstall 07thMod, and it unlocked immediately when I clicked on the first TIPS.

Not sure what the issue might be if you're not using 07thMod, though.

Found the solution! No need to uninstall the mod now. Although, it requires some amount of technical knowledge to fix it yourself.

Using any hex editor open "HigurashiEp03_Data/Managed/Assembly-CSharp.dll" file in game folder. Find that hex string: 48 00 49 00 47 00 55 00 52 00 41 00 53 00 48 00 49. In ascii view you should see "H I G U R A S H I _ S T O R Y _ E P 0 2 _ T I P S" (that's the name of the achievement). Just change 2 to 3, save file, launch the game and open tips in extras. Then you should get the achievement.

Wow, how did you find this?! Worked perfectly and much less of a hassle than uninstalling the mod. (used the Notepad++ HEX-Editor plugin and you have to use the 32bit version)
