Hi everyone! Our first post-launch patch is here, focused on bug fixes, quality-of-life improvements, and finally making residents do what their bios promised. Thanks to everyone who reported issues — keep them coming.

Every resident now gives a real gameplay bonus that grows with their evolution stage. Feed them four food cubes to evolve, four more to fully evolve, and each step boosts their effect.

• Villager — global production speed (crops + eggs): +5% / +10% / +15%
  
• Farmer — extra speed on crop producers: +5% / +10% / +15%
  
• Priestess — extra speed on all crops: +5% / +10% / +15%
  
• Elder — egg & crop speed: +5% / +10% / +15%
  
• Merchant — crop purchase discount: −5% / −10% / −15%
  
• Fisher — fishing-token mint discount: −5% / −10% / −15%

All bonuses stack multiplicatively. A fully evolved Villager + Farmer + Priestess + Elder compounds to roughly +75% crop production.

• Wild animals were gliding without animation in the built game — they now animate properly
  
• Fish floating on top of the pond rim — they now swim inside the water
  
• Fish Gallery was showing fish from previous saves on a fresh new game
  
• Fishing would permanently stop after the Fisher drained his token queue
  
• Items turning solid white when picked up to move
  
• Paint shortcut keys 1/2/3/4 now match the on-screen icon order (was 1/3/2/4)
  
• Settings → Controls: BACK button no longer overlaps the keybinding text
  
• Tutorial popup no longer covers the Build button mid-lesson
  
• "Start Tutorial" from the main menu now correctly fires on the next new game
  
• Residents now strictly stay on grass and sand — no more walking onto water or cliffs
  
• Chat bubbles no longer jitter above resident heads
  
• "Choose Your Centerpiece" screen now has a Back button
  
• Build button is now clickable across the entire icon (not just the lower-left)
  
• Subcategory labels are 2× bigger and render at a consistent size

• Fishing tokens are now minted by right-clicking the Fishing Token Board (moved off the Fountain). First-time hint above the board teaches the mechanic.
  
• Right-click pond discovery hints — one when you place your first pond, another when your first fish lands
  
• Tutorial repositioned to never overlap any HUD button
  
• New tutorial step explaining Expansion Charges before the paint step
  
• World Tree / Fountain pickup radius widened — clicks register from anywhere under the canopy
  
• Version number now visible in the main menu (bottom-left)
