Once I deleted my save file and turned off steam synchronization I was able to launch the game again. Not sure what happened there, but I'm happy that it works now
ohh interesting and thanks for fixing. We should maybe add an error check for bad save.
Hi,
I seem to have the same issue, black screen on load. Can you tell me where the save files are to delete as I can't seem to find them. Thanks.
Sorry for the late reply, just saw these. This sort of info can be found on pc gaming wiki here - https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Death_Squared
For Windows they are located at %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\SMG Studio\Death Squared\Saves
Did you turn off steam cloud sync for the game? If not then it redownloaded the broken save file from steam cloud. I had that happen to myself the first time as well.
Check the folder with saves again, if the save is restored then it must've been re-downloaded. If it's empty then I have no idea, must be something else.
