The 9999 ping actually means that the game can’t check your actual ping. So, possible delays and lag is most likely because of the connection. And in other words between the players as the game uses peer-to-peer.
Below is some workarounds you could try, but unfortunately the restricted connections in China have been a problem with our games for a while – so, you might want to consider a refund.
Open Correct Ports
The game uses UDP ports from 27300 to 27315.
Add to Exceptions
It’s a very good idea to make sure the game or Steam is not restricted by your firewall or your router. To make sure this isn’t happening please see your router’s settings and add Nine Parchments to the exceptions of your security programs.
Launch the Game as Administrator
This has sometimes helped. You can find the correct nineparchments_64bit.exe file by doing the following:
Sorry for the inconvenience, but let me know if this worked. Please also do the same, if anyone else is reading this. Also if it didn’t, we can still try to look into this.
Cheers!
Thank you for your answer!I thought it was a game to connect partners through a foreign server, but it was an Internet connection between players. So my friends and I are both Chinese players. If there is any problem of 9999, it should be my own computer.I will check this problem later. Thanks again for your reply.
I’ll keep an eye on this thread if you need more help, also let me know if you have any questions. :)
Also the online multiplayer is build very similarly to our earlier Trine series, so you might find this page on our website[www.frozenbyte.com] useful. The options.txt for Nine Parchments is located at %AppData%/NineParchments.
Cheers!
