Game Crashes Constantly
Been playing through the game and really frequently it will freeze, rarely it will jolt back to life. But most of the time it crashes and crashes my pc too. I saw on another post to verify local files, which I do after the crash and it works again for a little bit. Then boom it happens again. I restart, go to verify files and have to reaquire one. This has happened Upwards of 20 times.

Really weird, never had crashes on the game playing lots of hours of it. What's your OS and hardware? Have you tried updating video drivers? Are you using a specific joystick?

That sounds truly very weird, and the game crashing the PC is unheard of. Could you please tell a bit more about the crash, what happened during the game, and was there any “warnings” or error messages, also your hardware info would be great to have.

Sometimes these “crashes” maybe due to the computer heating up - laptops especially -, or the sound / video drivers being very old. So, like Darkness said, have your tried updating the drivers, you could also reinstall the game if you had not done that before.

If you want, you can send the information directly to us : support(at)Frozenbyte(dot)com

Processor is i7-6700, graphics card its a gtx 960
Heat isnt an issue. Using xbox controllers but I dont think they are the cause of this issue.
(They do seem to unbind from characters in multi plyer games where I am not hosting though)

I would say its a graphics bug as it seem to happen most when there is a massive number of spells on the screen, BUT then why would a file constantly need to be reacquired?

i use steam controller and some games crashes coz of steam controller XD and nothing like that for me here.

Very sorry for the late answer, but have you played the game without the controller connected? Does the game also crash or work fine then? I recommend trying this as we noticed that there are some crash causing 'conflicts' with the Xinput's.

no crashes without controller, was having issues with controller debinding too. So think it must be a controller issue

Are you using any Steam Controller emulation on Steam Settings -> Controller -> General Controller Settings, like "Playstation configuration support" or "Generic Gamepad Configuration support" enabled?

Just checking if it's a pure hardware issue, or might be related to Steam controller emulation too. I'd suggest enabling/disabling those supports to see if it makes any difference!

I have used official USB wired Xbox 360 gamepad for over 10 years on PC, and have not once had any controller problems.

90% + of devs have always natively supported Xbox 360 gamepad on PC. It's the only gamepad you can fully count on for PC games.

Works perfect in Win XP, Win 7, Win 8.1 and Win 10.

One thing. Sony never made any official Windows driver, and is why their gamepads is far less supported.
