Role of Each mission just stupidly unwinnable.
What's with this mission? It takes the enemies literally two turns to eliminate Isaac's whole team. I could fight them all off with Albus alone because his dodge chance is through the roof and he has healing on damage, but there's two problems with that plan.

1. The enemies will literally just run around Albus and kill Isaac, failing the mission.
2. The amount of delay that stacks up from forestallment, counter, bladestorm retaliation would push me beyond the mission timer.

How do I win this? Run Isaac into a corner and use his 3 weak sacks of waste as meatshields, then stack as much movement distance and speed on Albus as possible, hoping to escape without getting dragged down? (Obviously, I'd have to take off all my delaying abilities because fighting is clearly not the way to go here...)
Would I have enough time before they murdered Isaac? Will the mission end right there or is there a second stage that will literally make it unwinnable?

Is that the mission where Isaac has only like 3 other goons with him?

I won that mission by basically letting my Albus just butcher everyone, granted that i had a pretty solid build when that mission dropped due to having played the game a lot before it even came.

what i did was move Isaac backwards because if i remember correctly you just have to escape with Albus to finish the mission. And by moving Isaac out of their attack range the enemies didn't seem to attack them (if i remember it correctly). And then i just sped ahead with Albus using his [Turning over a new leaf] abillity to allow him to run further.

Yeah, see, I tried this but they literally ran around Albus to get to Isaac for me. Like, I would put him at the front of that alleyway you start in front of, covering 3 out of the 4 squares the enemies could enter from but then they'd get 2000 turns because Albus is dodging delaying fire, which is 10 AT each, using forestallment, counterattack and bladestorm on whoever does come near him or attacks him, for 30AT per attack. I would have put 'deep sea escape' on him but I was actually taking a break from working through scent of the past with all characters, which you get 'waiting' from, which is used in a mastery set with deep sea escape, haha. Plus, I didn't want the mission failure on my record so I just kept trying.

In the end, I ended up sending albus up and right, then the three mooks into the centre to attract all the enemies, then Isaac down into the very far corner of the alleyway. This way only one enemy attacked Albus so I was able to actually get a second turn. Using his 'turning over a new leaf' skill I was able to do a dashing attack on some mugger type enemy then dash the rest of the way to the exit. Essentially, I had to leave Isaac for dead and use his pawns as bait to get out, which isn't really fitting with the narrative, haha.

hahahahaahah, nice that you managed to finish the mission though!

Yeah i would have had the build that my Albus has today when i first tried this mission, I think i would have succeeded on the first try becase now he gets his turns back so darn fast as soon he hits someone that is bleeding XD

Not fitting the narrative, doesn't Isaac tell you to just get out of there as soon as possible because it is his fight to fight not yours or something similar? I can sort of remember it going like that.

Is this the mission you can just win in the first turn by activating your double move and running to the exit tile because the objective is "Reach this spot" rather than "Kill all enemies"?

Almost. The narrative is more "Don't worry about it. Me and these guys are pros, we can handle it. Being seen to work with the guy that took down their allied gangs might cause trouble though, so you should get out of here." So it's pretty funny when his whole team dies in less than two rounds, haha.

Yeah, so funny thing that I learned a few missions after this one: you actually don't have to use an attack to benefit from 'turning over a new leaf'. You can just move and it removes the action point cost of that. I had no idea, and this mission would probably have been 1000% easier if I had known that, haha.

That must've made some of the earlier missions harder! Albus was always my fast response character when we were trying to get police/civilians/whatever out of trouble to a time limit.

Maybe he's getting rid of Albus because he solves the problem using corruption rather than firepower and knows Albus would never go for that ;)

Surprisingly I didn't struggle with any of the civilian rescues. Got 100% of them on my first try until some random side quest, trying to arrest Javeir, when one of them got shot and the game popped up with the tutorial on how enraged enemies will attack civilians if there's not one of your characters within 4 squares. So basically, I only lost one because you only get the tutorial on how to save them AFTER one dies, hahaha.

Heh, well, not really. I think in the cutscene afterwards his three mooks are like "The backup has arrived behind them, so we're mopping up now" or something. It's just that the backup doesn't arrive if Albus is still there because then they'd see him with Isaac and assume Isaac is still loyal to the police or something. I can't remember exactly what the issue was with Isaac meeting with Albus, haha.
