Report a translation problem
2. Make a copy of the language that you will use as the base.
3. Rename it to "fra"
4. Go to \Troubleshooter\Locale\
5. Edit the file locale_setting.xml in the Notepad
Now you can manually edit the lines in the files that are located here:
\Troubleshooter\Dictionary\fra
Or you can use my tool:
https://steamcommunity.com/app/470310/discussions/1/2147595624115243778/
But now it only supports texts of dialogs, stages and quests. System texts such as GUI, name of skills, items, etc. are not supported yet.
If you will manually edit the files, then keep in mind that many texts go out of order. In some cases, the same line is used in different places.
The dictionary file consists of a record number, a comment in Korean, and a translation. These parts are separated by tabulation:
#11 [!Ability]활성화 Activate
#11 - number
[!Ability] 활성화 - comment
Activate - Translation
[!Tags] that start with ! are ignored by the game and are needed as a context. They should not be in the text at all, but sometimes they come across there. This is not a problem, but most often they interfere with translation. Anyway, everything in square brackets doesn't need to be translated.
[Tags] that don't start with ! used by the game. They cannot be deleted, otherwise you will not see the text that the authors intended, don't display the picture, or break something else.
The [!Ignore] tag marks entries that are not used by the game. Most likely, you will not see it.
If you will manually edit these files, I recommend that you first modify them so that it is convenient to work with them. For example, to separate from each other by using Replace all by regular expression in Notepad++, move the translation to a separate line so that it does not mix with commentary, etc. Just make sure that you can roll back your changes and return formatting back after you translate the text.
In addition, there is a localization mechanism built into the game. Unfortunately, it is still very raw and not suitable for translation. Developers use it in a volunteer program, accepting translation corrections from users, but not a new translation to another language.
I hope I was able to answer your questions. Good luck!
Oh ! Nice :)
